Due to my wife going back to school I currently need to sell my 96 GTS. Im looking for a price that would sell quickly and be fair for bothe the buyer and me. I bought the car from bernie katz with 19xxx miles and had him install kw variant 2 coilovers, belanger headers, random tech cats, corsa catback, b&m shifter, seat lowering kit, mgw fuel cover with blue sneaky, had all fluids changed, smooth tubes and filters. The car now has 26xxx miles and a new october inspection. I still have the factory rims with the factory tires still on them a set of ccw wheels and a set of deep dish i forged rims with flat black centers with nitto invos with 90% tread left. I also had bernie install a 3.55 rear with the speed recalibrator.

Any opnions on a price to sell would be great and if anyone is interested please let me know at [email protected] thanks everyone.

It has all the must do mods imo. Unfortunately you wont get much back on them. It being a b/w. It could actually hurt the value for some people.. not me though

Interested in selling the wheels and tires separately to a local guy? You will probably do better than letting them go with the car....... :D

CCW should sell easily for 1200 with tires, I paid 2700 for my iforged classics with bad tires. You should be able to get 4k just out of tires. The car with all those mods should sell for 40k easy, especially if it's a b/w. Post it on autotrader.com, cars.com and especially craigslist.com in ALL major cities and it should be gone quick. I sold my wifes mustang saleen on craigslist within two days last month, the guy flew down from Texas and drove the car back to Texas from California.

DAMN! I thought I may have started this thread in my sleep and accidentally put down "1997." My wife also went back to school this past January. She's already gone for 4 years, so what's another 4 years to pay off, right? :(

I've already started selling off miscellaneous parts I have in the garage. I'm hoping to keep the Viper until I die, but I'll have to see how things play out over the next couple of years.

As far as what price to ask. I'd ask for $42,000.00 and go from there, especially if you have time. If you do not have time, then low to mid $30s will most likely result in a quick sale.

Yeah this is my dream car and the very first viper i ever sat in my wife takes great pride in herselfe for getting me the car and doesnt want me to sell it unless we have to. I just feel as though if I give up a little now ill when she gets out of school she will be able to hook me up again. Next time one with a built motor and two hairdryers :) It will only be a few years without a viper ( thats what i keep telling myself anyway).

Nate, just curious when your viper was made. What is the last four digits of the VIN?

Also, do not sell unless you have to. This is just not the time or the market. Remember, a viper is more then just a car, its a friend.

Sell the mods seperately if you want to get top dollar and sell quickly.

Headers - $1,000
Corsa and hi flows - $1000?
CCW's - $2,000
I-forged - $1,500

B/W GTS w/ 26k miles - $33k - $35k

If you sell the car w/ mods... tough to get $40k at this time of year. Let me know if you are interested in selling any of your mods.

Sorry to hear you may get rid of it. Hopefully the sacrifice now pays dividends down the road.

This was a thread to figure out what to ask for my car. If i was to sell it to a board member great if not at least ill know what to ask for it. Also anyone interested and i can text or email pics just let me know. Im going to get some new ones as soon as i can. Thanks again for all the help and interest in the rims and parts as that may be the route i take before actually selling the car if that would help me get more money.

Since you are a VCA member the classified ad is free for you if you need it for your extras or the Viper if it comes to that. Take your Viper to a local event to get the word out if that is what has to happen. Buyer saves on shipping and gets to see the car in person.

Has the car ever been in an accident and have you run a carfax on it recently?

Do you know anything about the previous history/owners on it besides where you purchased it from?

Good luck with whatever you decide.

YES to Viper Baz UK! Full on agreement. Steering wheel must be pried from my cold dead fingers or own child must be chronically ill. Bought it with my own money, paid in full, I fully intend on being buried in it. :drive: There's your answer. Do you see what happens!? Stay single Viper owners! :2tu: I'm not contributing any help to this thread am I? Good luck! :burnout:
