I have been reading the threads since I bought my SRT Viper new in 2004. Really just for fun and to stay informed. Well, I was needing some help and decided to join as "enthusiast" and post a topic. Well let me tell you, the assistance, advice and guidance was invaluable and probably going to save me some big coin with the dealer. I now know I need to be a member of VCA and hopefully contribute and reciprocate. So, here is my question. I live in Toronto but vacation for about 8 weeks a year in Florida. The car was purchased here but now lives full-time down there. Should I become a Florida member or an International(canada) member? By the way, how do you use those smiles etc?

You should probably join the region where your car is located so you can participate in regional events, cruises, etc with your car. However, i am sure that once you join the VCA you will be welcome to attend events in either location whether you attend with your car or not. The VCA welcomes all Viper owners and when traveling you would be welcomed to join in any VCA-sponsored event with other regions.
You use the smiley icons by simply putting your cursor on where you want the icon to appear and then move your mouse and click the appropriate icon.:smirk:

Hey! I live in Milton. FL right out of Pensacola, FL....We have several Viper owners here in the area and we do like to get together and cruise on nice days. and participate with our Viper Club in Tennessee when we can... You can contact me anytime to get together with our Vipers. Do you know a Michael Pilon who races professionally out of Ontario? I bought a 1996 GTS from him.

Happy Vipering........Join our club in Tennessee!!!

That makes sense to join where my car is domiciled, which is Naples Florida, SW Chapter, and I am certain there wont be any issues going to any VCA chapter events. Thanks for the help. BTW, when I try to do a "smilee", this is what i get.... :), same thing i guess....:dunno:

You have been an owner for 7 years? And you need more time to choose a region?
BETTER LATE..... Do Decide when the 2011 procedures and rates come out....maybe they'll change the bennies / costs. They're supposed to open soon You CAN attend Canada events without your Viper! .....ask the local presidents?

Join both Regions and when your driving with your Northern members without your Viper, make motor noises, you'll feel better! :smirk:

Owner since 04....better late then never. Welcome! :2tu:

There are a few Vipers down here in the Naples area. still more lambos and ferraris though.

Try the Watermark grill on US 41 in north Naples.
3 of the brothers that own the place have Vipers and a few of us frequent the place.
Always looking for Viper breathern to cruise with.

And as far as the VCA join, join, join. The forums have helped me numerous times in a pinch and the members are a great group.

Why dont you bring the car up next summer and have some fun with us. Keeping the mileage low should not be a problem anymore after the dealer added so many miles lol.:lmao:

When you join the club, you should select the region where you will attend events the most. The region you select gets a portion of your dues, so if you select Florida and then only attend events in Canada, the Canadian region will be absorbing any per-member costs associated with the events you attend without the benefit of your dues going into their treasury. You should select accurately based on this information.
