I was wondering if there is a correct way, It seems like sometimes when I get in that I'm rubbing more on the inside of the seat. It seems like the left side of the drivers seat will be the first place to see the wear & tear of getting in & out. What seems to be the most comfortable way to get in without rubbing so much on the seats. And I'm sure it has alot to do with the size of the person.

Put your right leg in first, then sorta gracefully "fall into place" while avoiding the left side bolster, left leg enters car after your butt has landed on the seat. This is what I do... wait scratch that... did... everytime I got in my Calibra and that is as low as a Viper is.
If you have the top off... well... right hand on the sportsbar, left hand on the windshield... and just hop in :D

I was wondering if there is a correct way,

Haven't you read page 304 of the owner's manual yet ? :lmao:

Really, whatever works for you, depending on your height and weight and whether your side sill happens to be scalding hot.

The main tip for geting out is do not put weight on the center console armrest (like lifting yourself with one hand pushing there.) It is not uncommon to break that. There is a solution for that here: Lance's Console Support Wedge
Partsrack may still be selling these.

itv is right, right foot on floor, butt, left foot

also understand what AZTVR is saying, the consoles are famous for cracking. i put my forearm on the door jamb and lean on that to pivot out

I put my right foot in and slide into the seat, but I have cracked the left bolster over time (5 years). Guess I need to put some Sparco racing seats in now... Woops :)

You put your right foot in, you take right foot out, you put your right foot in and you shake it all about... Whoops, wrong answer. :D

Get in whatever way works for you but do not put any weight or stress on THE DOOR, SEAT BOLSTER, OR CENTER CONSOLE

no matter how many times i tell people to watch there head they always always hit it on the hard top.Butt down right leg in tilt head so chin hits chest rotate pivot and place left leg in.This is the proper way for not hitting you head or placing over do wear on the side of the seat. But just a side note if you do not have long legs this will not work for you on a car with side pipes.Well it will but it may burn the legs just a little.
