I drive mine ******* (almost always) with A/C on.
Feels GOOD!
Besides its a good re-sale point to have A/C. Thats why I bought mine, better than one without it.

A/C is not negotiable – I won’t look at a car without it. Even my Honda CRX (which is STILL completely stock – except I added a radio and speakers) has A/C – and I was a dirt poor, in debt college grad when I insisted it had A/C.

Regarding my desire to keep my car stock:
Like I said, my CRX is completely stock – including the original 20 year old paint. IMO the car is in good shape. I don’t get crazy about it – it is only a Honda after all. But at least twice a month, I am approached by someone with a compliment and/or an offer to buy it. They are amazed that it has not been modified after all these years and they always say it’s the best CRX they’ve seen in years.

My 30 year old boat is as original as possible. I’ve had to replace mattresses, generator and a few pumps, but the Diesels are original with 2900 hours and she’ll run all day without a worry. The interior and exterior are in excellent condition in addition to being honest and true to the original. I even order my teak oil from the East Coast because that was the original oil used. When we take it to the island – she always turns heads – the old salts especially love her.

Our house was built in 1946 and all the remodeling has been period appropriate. Tile only in the bathrooms, soapstone counters, red oak flooring thin widths. I have restored the original door bell, telephone and about 10 lights to the original condition. Even our paint colors came from a 1948 paint swatch. Although the décor is not 1946, we have been turn to period of the house – someday, some lucky owner will thank us.

See a pattern?

So I want a 100% stock Viper Gen I – no mods. I plan to drive it – but not daily – less than 3000 miles per year. I want stock parts and will pay a premium for them as long as they are available.

Now, if down the road, something unthinkable happens to the car – like front-end damage (I am fully aware of how bad this is) I’ll probably make mine look EXACTLY like RedEnuf93’s!!!
He sent me some pics of his car and I seriously reconsidered the “completely stock” requirement. His car is SERIOUSLY FRICKEN HOTT!!! If that car came up on my behind on the road, I’d pull to the side and let him own it.

You have the right idea. Good luck! gen 1 garage queens are getting harder and harder to find... a good thing for those owners who have 'em but not for you. Aim for a '95 - best of the gen 1s....

I think you're right about the 1995's. I keep looking around -- they are even more rare.

Oh well, time and patience... And in the mean-time, I can pretend in my little Honda! :rolaugh:

Another plus to the '95s, albeit very trivial, is the grab handle on the passenger's door - my wife really wanted one of those in the '94 we had!

Keep looking for a 94 or 95. 93's dont have fit and finish issues but they do have parts that you CAN NOT replace like the front suspension. I bought mine with 13k on her and almost completely stock with the addition of a color matched roof and glass windows. It had to have AC and I can tell you that I would not have bought the car without it. I have driven from New England to Key West in her and I would have died without the AC and windows! Good luck with your search. :D
