I'm 6'3" and 195 and I fit fine. I even pull the pedals up an inch for better shifting. The only time I have issues is with a helmet.

I'm 6'4" also with a 34" inseam and 230 lbs. I got the 2" seat lowering kit because with the top down, I felt like it was easier to look over the top of the windshield than look through it, but with the seat lowered now I'm great, and can also fit with my helmet just fine. The lowering kit is what made this car for me.

As someone else said, did you adjust the pedals to go all the way back? I find that they can go so far back, I have to bring them back forward a little bit.

As a pilot friend of mine said, it's like strapping on an F-16. You have very little room, admittedly, but you either learn to adjust for it or move on to something a little more big-boy-friendly (e.g. Corvette).

As most have said, if there's a will there's a way.

I'm 6'8, 240lbs, 38" inseam. (GEN III) The pedals all the way forward, seat all the way back. I have the 2" lowering kit but have yet to install it. It's EXTREMELY tight right now and honestly not safe since I'm above the roll bar but if you really want it, it's do-able.

Im 6'7, 205lbs, 37" inseam and I fit in my GEN III.... Like CIVIL said, its unsafe but if you really want to drive one, you can fit it in. Now if you think a Viper is small, start trying to fit into a Lambo or Ferrari. You'll realize how big Vipers really are when you compare them to the exotics!

Sorry Jon- I was busy doing house stuff....:(

I'm 6' 6" and 230 Pounds. Inseam is at 36", long sleeve shirts require 37" sleeves (hence I don't own any!).

2" lowering kit in all my Vipers.

'96 GTS I could even wear my big Bell helmet in that one.:headbang:

2003 Vert. Kit made it so I was out of the wind, but no "broomstick test" would be passed

2005 Vert. Same a the 2003

2010 vert. Same as the 2003

Now even with the lowering kit, I can't drive top up with my helmet on.:nono:

The Gen 3/4 coupes don't fit me at all. Even with the 2" lowering kit I can't wear the helmet.:nono:

There is a RUMOR...there will be more room in the Gen 5.
Let's hope thsi is a TRUE rumor!:headbang:

6'4" with a 36"inseam and I fit just fine, I did not fit nearly as well in the gen 1-2 though. When I stop at lights I do have to look under the windshield frame slightly, but it really is not a problem. Funny thing was I too was concerned about fitting in a viper since I did not fit in the earlier gens. Luckily it turned out to not be a problem. Good luck!

You have a PM.

Know of quite a few guys at 6'6" and 6'7" in Gen IV Vipers ( 2 inch kit a must , of course)

Bill Pemberton

I got the 2" kit and have more than enough head room....right seat side bolster rubs in to outer rt thigh but only problematic on long trips. This is because the seat sits lower and the center console presses the side bolster in a bit. At 6'3" i could never drive the car comfortably without the kit. And forget wearing a helmet.

I have a 2" kit that I've been meaning to put in the classifieds if anyone is interested. I'll also include some 1" brackets that I made to lift the front of the seat as in my opinion - the seat sits a little flat with the 2" kit and did not provide the support I was looking for.

I went to the 1" kit so that the seat could slide forward when my sons drive the Viper.

I am new here but not new to other forums. I'm also finalizing my purchase decision for a Gen 3/4. I am 6'7" with a 36" inseam so I am mostly legs and usually don't have an issue with headroom. I drove several Gen 2s years ago and while it was cramped it was manageable. I just want to make sure I am clear on a few facts to make sure I make the right decisions:

1. Get the 2" seat kit... But does this reduce legroom?

2. Is adjusting the pedals some sort of kit, or something that is adjustable from the factory? How easy is it? I am pretty mechanically inclined but haven't seen much about it.

3. No difference between Gen 3 and 4?

4. The biggest question I had that I didn't see addressed was if there was any meaningful difference in room between the coupe and convertible?

Thanks in advance for the help, looking forward to getting snake bit :)

The 2" kit moves the seat slightly forward, say an inch

Comes standard with adjustable pedals
3. No difference between Gen 3 and 4?
Exact same interior
4. The biggest question I had that I didn't see addressed was if there was any meaningful difference in room between the coupe and convertible?
The only difference between the 2 is the roof, and while I've spent time in both I don't have experience to comment either way
Thanks in advance for the help, looking forward to getting snake bit :)

I'm 6'7" 295 lbs. And with a two inch lowering kit I fit just fine in my 01 and my fathers 09 acr. Just kinda trickie getting the lowering kit in the 09, but well worth it in the end.
