Above the windshield? Hmmm... Let's see, all '03s are verts, right? Above the windshield is the roof locking mechanisim. Passanger side is just the windshield frame. The roof is just metal frame work and canvas. No cables. Must be something left over from an after market install of a electronic device as others have stated. Where does the cable go?

It's for a radar detector (Bel, most likely). Mine has one as well, but it's taped to the rear view mirror harness with electrical tape. Haven't taken it off yet 'cause I haven't found anything that I trust will get the goo off of the factory harness.:dunno: I did rip out the bottom half of it when it fell down on my feet DURING an autocross run last year though:omg:

Radar detector, there was one on my 06 when I picked it up from seller. It was wired into behind the dash. I just clipped the wire and pulled it out. It's nothing factory, you don't need it. Search radar install, there are some pics on what other owners have used, many with the style cable you have.

Nice! Flux Capacitor!! :2tu:

Got me thinking if it might be possible to replace the bass speaker with a slightly more modern version of the good ol Flux Capacitor. That is once you put a real bass box in the trunk.

V1 radar detector uses a telco style connector -- what might appear as a small network connector. Nothing I can think of uses an rj45 [ cat 5 ] that large except maybe that flux capacitor !!!

That particular flux capacitor is only designed to work with the stainless steel body of a DeLorian. Significant recalibration would be required to get it to work with a Viper body. You might want to check 1985 to see if it sent itself back without the car...
