Hi Guy's, looking to stripe my 03 because I am sick of the vette guy's waving at me :lmao: so I have a two part question? first if I purchase a stripe kit, I can remove later if so desired but will the paint fade and show a shadow? 2nd, has anyone applied silver stripes to a Red Viper :dunno: any pics? Thanks everyone!

My experience with Vinyl stripes/decals is that it leaves no residual issues once removed. Not sure if left on for longer periods of time (over 3 years?) whether there is any fading of the non-striped body that would result in an issue.

You may want to check with any sign shop that applies vinyl. They would surely have some experience with longterm issues.

Here's a question...... Why would you want to remove them if you're going to go through the trouble and expense of having them installed in the first place? Fading shouldn't be an issue unless you plan on leaving the car parked outside in the elements.

I know there was a red Viper at Roanoke Dodge with silver stripes. I thought it looked nice. It may still be on their website.

I had black vinyl stripes on my red GTS for five years.
Took them off when I sold the car.
After going over the removed area with a PC and some fresh wax you would never know they were ever on.
Unless you leave the car in the sun for an un-Viper like amount of time don't worry.

Im guessing so he has the option to remove if he gets tired of the stripes:)

Will be doing the same here shortly

Thank you for the replies. It sleeps in the winter here in Buffalo for about six months, if we are lucky :rolaugh: I don't plan on removing them unless I sold it giving the new owner the option to remove. Otherwise she is in a dark room to keep the beast tame :lmao: Any thoughts on who to purchase the stripe kit from? Anyone have experiance applying them? Also how do I change my settings to be alerted through e-mail when someone post to my questions?
thanks everyone! :usa:

I can assure you from experience that no Vette drivers wave at my 2010 coupe with the flared stripes or my 2005 Comm. Ed. vert.
