has anyone installed an air ride system on a Gen 2? Roads in Michigan are messed up and thought it would be nice to be able to adjust height when needed...Anyone know of a system out there that would work with 02 RT/10?

I really doubt there is a kit for any Viper. You will most likely have to piece it all together to make it work. It can be done, but I would be worried about the bags when it comes to torque and handling etc.

I'm anti-bags because in the (i hate this term) "Mini truck" scene everything is bagged and nothing is maintenance free. It would be nice too have, and I know of a few SRT-10's that have been bagged.

Your going to have a hard time convincing any sports car enthusiasts to add several hundred pounds of weight to their car to make it handle worse.

its has been done but really its not practical, go with a kw adjustable suspension and set it to soft...you will decrease handling a bit but take some harness out of the road, i also have some experience with air ride suspension, nothing is worse then blowing a line on a highway and having your frame drag on the ground....i use to be part of the mini truck scene in the late 90s early 2000s, like mentioned above lots of weight and decreased performance compared to stock.....if you have a mini show truck....added weight not a problem, handling compared to stock not a huge change, dragging frame..ouch.....the viper deserves better and trucks do too

i hate the term also but its here to stay...as far as bags go..."been there done that"...I will take real suspension moving forward

Instead of accomodating the bad roads by screwing up you Viper, you should ***** to your government that it isn't spending enough on road maintenance. They'll probably say there isn't enough money. Ask them what they are spending it on. If the answer makes sense and the $ aren't wasted, be prepared to pay more to fix them.

Looks like they are working on something but ya if you got a leak you would most likely total your car.
You would be better off just avoiding *** holes. :dunno:

Yep.

Areas of Dallas **** for roads... just have to avoid them and be careful where you go, and don't be embarrassed to take a certain bump/hole really slowly if need be.

I've done ridetech, moton and KW. Stay away from ridetech or any air suspension on a viper. KW's are good for the street and Motons are my personal choice.

Help is on the way. I saw where the government is wanting to start taxing people on how many miles they drive every year to bring in more revenue for roads. They said that more fuel efficient vehicles are decreasing the revenue raised by fuel taxes :omg:

I disagree. The advancement in air ride suspension over the leat few years has been astonishing. All of the 100k gmashines/pro~touring/resto mod hot rods are all running air ride. The new 6~8k kits from air ride technologies are auto adjustable pending on what your car is doing at that particular moment. Works exactly like sl/55/63/65 Mercedes suspension or any other 150k benzo. Provides awesome handling and great ride. A great alternative to kw or moton.
