June 18-19. Vipers invited as display guests again.

Just confirmed today that we will have a B-17 Flying Fortress and a B-25 bomber attending. We will be pre selling rides in them if anyone is interested. A very cool fathers day gift. the proceeds to the bringing them to the show and keeping them in the air.

Hey, Brian -

If you're not making the trek up north on Wednesday, can you post the particulars of the event for the dinner/planning meeting? Deadlines, attendee limits (# of cars), cost for rides, guests allowed, etc...

I plan to be there this year, but that's what I said last year.:D

no deadline yet.
we set it at 10 cars last year but didnt get that many anyway.
rides are $450 per person in the B-17 and B-25
free entry for two guests per car.
I had the cars in a protected place last year. there has been some talk of moving closer into the action but space is limited so we are looking at options.
details can be found on olympic flight museum website.

that Oly Yellow vert gonna make it? we have ordered sun this year!:D

No idea on day - that's what the planning meeting (& this forum ) is for;).

Paul has no idea how to put his top up, so that sun better be a guarantee.:2tu:

If Paul needs help putting up the top, turning on the whipers or even installing a snow plow, I've got his back!

All-

I'm thinking Saturday the 18th would be better, but I can do either.
I can drop by and pick up the tickets like I did last year.
Parking location was fair- but a guy did come find us...THAT was the reason he came to the show, (to see the Vipers) and I spoke to him for an hour.

10 cars is a pretty good number- some did not show last year.

With this much time ahead of the event, I'll almost guarantee SUN!! I'll talk to the man and get it set up!

The Oly Yellow bumble bee will make it again this year. Last year it had less than 50 miles on the clock!

Thanks Brian!!

I'm looking forward to taking the stock trophy at the dyno day too!!

I really don't want to hear about you and Paul and whips:omg: ESPECIALLY if you've got his back. And yellow V8ipers are too slow to operate a snow plow effectively.

Forget dyno day trophies - it's GO TIME for stock at autocross.:drive: Though I may have to paint my calipers yellow for a braking advantage over your HP advantage.:D

I have a Friend that's a member of the CAF, that rode on the B-17 a few times. Very Cool. I actually knew a couple of people who came to see the Vipers last year but could not gain access to us.

Looks like i got a new spot for Vipers this year inside the show next to the museum. Be ready to guard your car... :)

Don't worry Paul, I think Yellow actually scares little kids away. Your car should be fine.

It's just the mustachio that scares the kids away, Brian. The yellow just makes them stop dead-in-their-tracks! :rolaugh: If they look a second time however, they'll start going in reverse. :lmao::lmao:

Sure seems that Charlie is a yellowphobe. Its okay to be different Charlie, you don't have to be scared of the people that drive yellow just because they are a little different. :)

Tis time to decide if you are going to the Olympic Air show with your Viper. We have excellent parking positions, and could do Saturday or Sunday. Limit is ten cars a day.
You need to get back to me ASAP!

I going to miss this AGAIN :(

Seems I have a certain remodeling project (or five) that need to be completed before I put on a certain BBQ.

Come on Vipers! I got special spaces reserved for 10 snakes right in the middle of the action this year. I pulled some strings, now bring those cars. Might be able to get a photo op with a Cobra helicopter. Also, if its dry, I am going to race a plane with my Viper down the runway. Up to 160 or so. Legally! as part of the show.

Folks- I’m sorry to say- this event has been cancelled for lack of interest, time of year or location.
We just did not get the quantity of cars to make a good showing, and Brian can use the display space for other things at the air show.

Thanks to those who did respond!
