I've had my Gen 1 in climate controlled storage since last October. Generally she fires right up after a battery recharge but this time no luck. Turns but no fire. Have never had to use a fuel stabilizer in the past 10 years of use. She has a new fuel pump with less than a few thousand miles. Could it just be stale gas? Ideas? Help? The car is in great shape and has 50k on an Arrow rebuild. Never any problems except for this year's failure to start.

Thinking of selling and buying an XLR-V. Thoughts on the problem and the XLR-V?

Hi Steve,

Bad gas and a loose negative battery cable. The fuel pump was not pumping. Tighten cables, fresh gas, and took her out for a test run. Running a little warm but figure burping should solve that issue. Will call later this week. Still thinking about the XLR-V as a more sane summer car than the Gen 1.

94 rt/10 have left it parked for last three years in Florida for four to five months each year while I cool it in Montana. Have always used a $26.00 batty keeper on it and each year upon my return to Florida, the Viper starts like it was driven yesterday. Do the same thing on Ram 1500 (2000) and it too starts like yesterday. Have 08 in Montana and do the same thing for past three years. Starts up first try. Has made me a believer in batty keepers.

I love my xlr-v. Its definitely a head turner but not as much as a viper. If you to get one, make sure you look up D3
