I thought I would finally share some pictures of my snakeskin pattern stripes on my 2010 SSG ACR after having the car for a year. Thank you to all the previous forum posters here who helped me with their ideas and pictures. Also, thank you to those who directly helped me with my Viper dream.

Picked up plain SSG ACR at Roanoke, IL (my third Viper from John Gastman at Roanoke), following installation of full Belanger system, MOPAR PCM, K&N filter, 1" seat lowering, and lowering car to "rough track height":

Brand new Viper ends up at 5th Dimension in Champaign, IL for painting before making the trip home:

Subtle snakeskin stripe painting begins:

In direct light you see the snakeskin pattern:

Now you don't:

Lots of pearl and gold in paint color. Shown here on tapered stripes of hood:

Painted center interior to match exterior color. Painted 'ACR' logo. Also painted brake calipers and SRT in wheel (see pictures further below). MGW shift knob, beverage holder, and climate control knobs, too:

PartsRack and Doug Levin Motorsports rock chip guards. First three pictures shows trying each one separately. In the end I decided to do a combination of both. I also have rear rock chip carbon fiber guards from PartsRack.

You can also see the painted calipers and painted SRT in wheel in this picture:

Countryjoy Valentine 1 radar detector holder and Invisicord:

The ACR (at least when lowered to "rough track height") won't clear the stock Race Ramps (first picture immediately below) so I ordered custom Race Ramps:

You can also see the rear PartsRack carbon fiber chip guards in this one:

Those stripes look F'ING AWESOME!!!!
J-u-s-t subtle enough. Nice job!

There's a better way to mount your RD.
PM me if you'd like the info on how to get it out of your line-of-sight.

Looks good!

So you bought the only solid SSG ACR in 2010. I have one of the three solid SSG ACR's made in 2009. You added stripes to yours, and one of the 2009 owners added a driver stripe to his. Now I need to find the other owner, maybe they added stripes to theirs also, and I will have the only solid SSG ACR left in the world...... :D

Great pics, thanks for sharing.

Can you comment on the PartsRack CF chip guards (both front & rear)... any install lessons learned/tricks, tools required (plastic rivets & gun?), and how rigid these are once installed?

If/when my black center section finally drives me insane, I'm thinking ghost SSG scales are the solution! Very nice.

RW99, I'm not the OP but I can speak to the PartsRack CF chip guards. No rocket science here, just use the longer screws Jon provides with the kit and you'll have them installed in less than 30 min. Of course with tires off install is much easier. Nice looking, very rigid and blend into the cars lines without 'standing out'. I was skeptical at first just thinking of mud flaps on a Viper, but I have come to the other side now and glad I have the additional protection :2tu:

What size Race Ramps did you have made? I ordered the 2 piece 67" and they work fine for my GIII, I don't have the splitter, though.

Agree with everything you said. If you have an ACR (with black front splitter and canard) they blend in nicely, especially with black stripes. If you don't have an ACR I'm not totally convinced I would have gotten them as they may have been distracting. That's a personal taste thing. They have protected the paint without a doubt.

I found one of the rear ones to be hard to install since one of the holes didn't line up. That could very well have been due to my cars particular shape on one side (painter may have removed that panel and reassembled, for example). I made a slightly bigger hole there and was able to get it to fit. On that side the chip guard sticks out a bit further but being all black it's not noticeable.

There was no drilling. Uses only factory holes. Just need the longer screws that come with them and you're set.

I also ordered the 2 piece 67" and the front splitter didn't clear the front bumper. I had custom ramps made (they do them all the time) and basically started with the standard 67" but made the top level part that the wheel sits on longer and also lowered the front bumper of the ramps from 3" high to 2.5" high.
