I've seen these cars with different setups but never in person. I am at the point where I am going to install a subwoofer or 2. Just wanted to see what folks have put in the trunk that is removable. I will have a good size amp powering everything but I want to do a box easily removable.

Also I was wondering how much space is available from the flat spot in the trunk to the gas tank below it. I want to screw the amp down up there but don't want to damage anything. I have not pulled my fuel pump cover off yet and don't plan to. Thanks in advance.

Maghty,

Can you send me more photos of your setup? Are they 10s or 12s? Is the box easily removable? I am going to have a very similar setup to that including amp wise. I'm going to use a Memphis mch1300d mounted like that. Can't decide on 1 10, 2 10s or 12s. How many dbs do you think that setup is doing? Check your pm's

Did you find out how much space there is yet? I'm interested too :)

Not a good idea to mount the amp up there. When the car sits in the sun you will over heat the amp and cause it to shut down. Been there done that.......

You must be registered for see images attach

The best location is behind the passenger seat.

Actually it is not necessary. The carpet is loose enough to cut a piece of wood and put it under the carpet and to mount it to that.

As far as the amp overheating I have zero concern for that.

If you have a 4ohm amp and run it at 4ohm your good to go. Will have NO overheating issues. Also a big FYI there are a few boxes for GTS's for sale here on the classifieds! Check them out if you haven't found one already. Guy had a decent one for $100.

I am having a box made. I like the boxes in the classifieds but i want the box to have the right air space in it. For the good sets of 10s you can't easily make the box the right size and have 2 speakers and keep the spare tire.
