I happened to met the kid (early 20's) who owned the Corola and asked him if he really owns a Viper...No he does not. I showed him a picture of mine and we had a good discussion about Vipers. I blocked his plate for privacy.

Nice college kid with a dream. I am sure one day he will own a Viper.

Great follow up! Did you give him a ride? That would certainly keep the dream alive. I remember having the dream as well. In 1995 (IIRC), I met Maurice Liang in Detroit at the SAE Auto show. We both worked for HP ( different divisions) and he had arranged for the GTSr #5 to be in our booth. He promised to give me a ride when we got back to California. I thought that he was just being polite and never expected to hear from him again. Two weeks later my phone rang and he invited me to lunch in his RT/10. That day the dream became a passion.....

I wasn't driving the Viper that day. So, he did not get a ride.

I always try to share with the youth as they are the future. At car shows I will frequently allow the younger Kids and college age get pictures with them in the car. They really get a big kick out it.

Keepin the dream alive.....

There's a lot to be said for having a ****** as a daily driver. Those corollas will go 300k easy. It's a headache to have a real nice daily driver. Flying under the radar (pun) when you have a big commute is also makes a lot of sense.

Still not seeing how kts a big deal. I had a viper and nsx in the driveway and 25 days a month i preferred to drivemy old beat up dds

In my viper ill take ten minutes finding the perfect spot and then exit the car and look at differant angles to see how hard it would be for another car in the parking lot to hit me. Youd think it was a million dollar car tbe way i treat it.

Do most of you have one really nice dd to complement your vipers? I have six pos dds. At anytime 2 are down lol.

I think the sticker would only be funny if you had a viper but put a sticker on the back of your dd saying my other car is a ferrari or bugatti. Saying my other car is a viper whenyou really have a viper would just cause even more jelousy from your enemies

That kid is smart to drive an old Toyota and think of viper. That car is probably long since paid for, cheap to fuel up and will run 300k mi easy with good maintenance. He'll have a viper to compliment it soon, if he wants one.

I really don't know which one I consider my DD, I have the 00' Viper in my avatar & I have the 02' black 911 (996) Carrera (avatar also) BUT on rainy days it's definitely the H2 for sure! And in the mornings before the wife gets up I usually take my son to school in her LS460 Lexus, so I guess I don't really have a so-called clunker for a DD!

My dd is a toyota tundra pickup with 213k miles. I had a corolla before that. I wonder if I put that same sticker on my pickup if someone would take a picture and put it on this forum too? :rolaugh:

If the Corolla driver really had a Viper, you'd think he/she would have used a sticker with the correct font on it for "VIPER".

Actually the font looks like it's from the "Viper" TV show that aired back in the day.

My cheap DD is an 03 POS Neon. I really don't care what people think when I am driving it. The only problem is when I run into someone from high school I am NEVER in my Viper, always in the Neon. I have entertained the thought of putting a "My other car" sticker on the Neon, but haven't done it yet.

What's the deal with Prius's, it seems like EVERYBODY always uses that car as an example when their making a JOKE or Poking Fun about an Automobile? Just always wondered, are they really that bad of a car?
