If you have same, could you please post photos of the inside of the car showing all the controls and the cabin from the side. I recently ran 207.43 MPH in 6.793 seconds in a Top Dragster and I am curious to contrast and compare the two vehicles. Also, how has the maintainence been on your car? Anything major break yet or pretty much bullet proof?

With my old engine/turbo setup which pretty much topped out at 7.50's@190mph, the setup was fairly bullet proof and I probably put around 80 passes on the car 1/8 and 1/4 combined with basic maintenance of oil, spark plugs, and trans fluid.

With the new setup, majority of the issues have been upgrading items that were insufficient for the power level I was trying to achieve. I've had to upgrade the intercooler, fuel system, and some chassis items to get the car to behave. That was a learning curve. In addition, I was having some challenges with ignition timing and cylinder differentials where I sacrificed 3-4 headgaskets before getting a handle on that side of tuning. Adding additional sensors and individual cylinder EGT's helped me find my way. I feel as though now I have a much better handle on the tuning and chassis where the setup should be fairly reliable where I'm hoping to make it 50 passes or so before having to tear anything down. Unfortunately I'll find out the hard way next year! :D

Here are some pics we have uploaded to the Drummond Race Cars Facebook page. The pictures in the beginning of the album are the recent ones and get older as you go further down in the album.

Thank you. Very clean. Getting in and out of the cockpit would be a real PIA for me. Like it was getting in and out of the Supergas door car. But other than that, it looks great. You have produced a very special vehicle. Enjoy!

We have done 2 and 3 speed transmissions behind the Viper engine. Our 1 mile car has a Powerglide with a Gear Vendors overdrive. Auto is the way to go for big hp at the drags.

Sal's Viper is perfection, plain and simply put. It's what made me leave the Supra world and enter the Viper's realm. Can't wait to see the six second pass on IRS!!!

Awesome! I was happy to run my modded GTS to over 200 mph in the standing mile, but to achieve that speed in a quarter mile is insane. Every congratulation to the driver and tuners of this Viper.

It certainly is a top notch engine bay, but considering humans designed and built it, I'd like to think God could do that much more. Better yet, you don't even need a car to travel or a boat since you can walk on water. :D

Anyways, no small feat here and Sal has worked hard over the years to get here, 6's are around the corner for sure.
Amen.
