tax return coming soon so i was thinking of upgrading my stock headers to a krooks or american racing no cats. currently have a borla exhaust.

does the mopar pcm have any problems with ac or if i ran 91octane 90% of the time?

or

is it better 2 get 4 cat sims to eliminate the engine lights? when i got the the viper on the lift i saw 2 o2 plugs on each side so im guessing it needs 4 sims?

mopar pcm go for $350-400 or 4 o2 sims for $300-400

will be mainly dd in the summer and tracking it for a week or 2.

You need the 2 front o2 sensors for the engine to run .... replace the rears with anti- plug foulers for $10 at your local AutoZone. (or plug the exhaust bungs)

Assuming your car is not a GenIV you need only 2 simms, the ones that would go behind the cats, one on each side. You NEED the front O2's to run the engine.

If your car is a GenIV the only choice you have at this time is the MOPAR PCM.

Non-foulers do not work 100% of the time, simms do. In the case o9f a GenIV only the PCM does .. nobody makes a simm for the NGC PCM.

If I'm reading this correctly than you're saying for the gen 3 we need all 4 sims. Can you clarify?

Thanks,

Andy

On a Gen III, you can very easily go catless and still keep the OEM PCM happy. No check engine light and all emissions readiness o/k (meaning you will pass OBDII emissions type test). No simulators or Mopar ECU needed. PM me and I will reply with a solution and my paypal address ;)

NO!!!!!!!!!!! on a GenIII you only need 2 simms! The front O2's are to manage the mixture for running the engine.
