Not yet, but I will be. Some amazing technology.
I really like the traction control systems and the "flex fuel" feature. That is huge when running the dangerously inconsistent e-85 fuel.
I am also researching the "Big Stuff 3" CPU system too.

Some really cool stuff out there now...:headbang:

Sal Patel is running it on his 200+ mph drag setup. It's gonna be seen more and more in the near future I believe. It s going on my car here shortly, I'll keep you updated on how it goes.

I have a friend who is using it on his 1500+ ** twin turbo viper, he is a huge advocate of the pro EFI. Also has it on his supras and various other cars he builds. The system has the ability to utilize a true flex fuel system with E85.

I also know Jason from Pro EFI, he is a nice guy an can answer any questions.

Outstanding....thanks for posting - I hadn't heard of this system before. The AEMs won't last forever and I was concerned about what to do when they flaked out.

AEM quit making model #1500 (Viper) ECU. They will be getting harder to come by...

The AEMs are PITA. I have two for my TT car because one of them is always in the shop.....
I just got one of my AEM ECUs back last week. It needed some boards replaced.....:dunno: $750.00...:omg:

Worst of all, this was the sixth time the box has been sent to AEM for repairs.
I have literally paid for the unit almost 3X.

AEM is coming out with a new ECU to try and keep up with the new generation Pro EFI, Big Stuff 3 etc.
I believe it is called "Infinity".

I believe the PRO EFI will make a big dent in the Pectel/ Motec market.
Especially since you can buy 3-4 complete PRO EFI systems for the price of one Pectel/ Motec system

Wow, I've been fortunate. I have two AEMs, one each on two cars, and haven't had a problem yet (other than the quirky, start/stop, re-key-when-warm sequence nonsense). This is a great thing for the Gen 2 marketplace. Mod on!

The new AEM Infinity system is suppose to be the next great thing and much more affordable than Motec.

Ran a pro-efi 48 on a built infiniti G35 coupe TT (650rwhp on 93 octane, 800+rwhp on 110leaded...never used good gas). Car drove like stock, started like stock, no hickups. Doesn't hurt that I'm 20min from Sound Performance who helped develop/test it.

Not apples to apples I know, but it was a very nice ECU.

As Dave has stated, I have been running the ProEFI 128 ECU for about a year now on my Gen II GTS and it is one of the best systems I have used. I handle 100% of the electronics and tuning on my Viper and periodically assist Drummond Race Cars in tuning their Promod, Outlaw, and Street/Strip cars which primarily run Big Stuff and Fast/XFI systems.

Functionally it is a phenomenal system that has addressed quite a few options that many systems lack or require repeated "upgrades" to acquire. Software definitely takes some getting used to and requires a late model laptop to keep up with the graphic intensive nature. VE based fuel tuning incorporating fuel pressure as part of the calculation it just the beginning of the capabilities. Flex fuel, traction control, boost control, nitrous control, fail safes, etc are all built into the system.

The one thing that anyone considering ProEFI should be aware of is data acquisition has to be handled via an external system. You can do live data logging with a laptop connected directly through the ProEFI ECU, but no data logging can occur other than live with a laptop. ProEFI also sells external data loggers. I chose to use a Racepak Data logger due to the extensive data I require and prefer to have it this way because the expandibility of a Racepak Data logger is about endless. The Racepak uses an SD Card to store data log files and works flawlessly.

ProEFI can only be purchased through a dealer. Off hand, I know that Larry Prebis @ Sound Performance is well versed with the system.

Currently Jason @ ProEFI does not have a Plug-n-Play harness in stock as he is having problems sourcing connectors. My last conversation with him a couple of days, he is actively working on finding a solution to the wiring harness issue.

I forgot to mention the extensive Environmental Testing that has been conducted on the ProEFI ECU, which is similar to most OEM testing conditions. Here is the website for ProEFI:

Thanks for all the info. Larry at Sound performance will be doing my system. Larry is a Top Notch guy well known for his Supra's, I'm trying to put him out there for the Vipers. Although he has done several Vipers already some of the guys do post here already.
ViperTT any more info you have will be fully noted!

Larry is great guy to deal with. SP did my heads/cam build and Larry did the tuning (VECII). It is coming up on 4 years since the work an no hicups to date.
