2008 Coupe, Mopar PCM, Corsa Exhaust. When car is up to temp and just sitting, the rpms drop to about 500 then back up, over and over, if i touch the gas pedal and bring it down slowly it will idle normal. No check engine lights, or codes???

Voltage to the idle sensor could be erratic, which makes me think battery. When my battery was starting to go, she would start, but not idle, then die. New battery solved that issue.

Time to retune. And it just might be a battery. Ive read some crazy stuff happening when batteries are going bad...

Get in touch with the guys at Arrow Racing Engines in Auburn Hills Michigan. They have a later Mopar flash that will cure that issue.

I have a 08 with the Mopar PCM, Belanger headers, exhaust 93 octane. Mine idles erratically also, sometimes it will die after I have been driving and come to a stop light. It has always started back up and runs good. No codes either.

My 08 does the same, as I've got the same mods. I'm getting it reflashed this week to see if this problem goes away.

On the other hand I could also hear knocking noise in the engine over high rpms and I had this issue before until I took it to the dealer and got the PCM reflashed and updated and I think they cleaned the injectors too.

oh yah and my battery is new.

lmcgrew--I would take this advice if I were you. This Motor City member is rather familiar with the Gen 4 engine....
