I guess it's my own fault for trying to buy from their, but i have made dozens of purchases that all turned out really good.
So here's my store.
I have been looking for a catback for my 02 ACR, but as of 2 weeks ago, a new roof on my house soaked up my car fund. So i got looking at some Magnaflow & Borla on Ebay. Well this past saturday night i see a crazy price on a magna catback. $580. The others listed were 890 to 1100. So i jump on it. Its from a good seller with a 99.2 pos feed back. So im thinkin no problems. I PAY for it through paypal as soon as i clicked purchase. Bla bla bla, payment excepted
and i get my comfermation email. So now im pumped. Im putting on an exhaust maybe this weekend. WRONG. I get an email the next night from the seller and all it says is payment refunded. :dunno: So i check his listings and he has them still listed but for 1170 now. So i email him and ask him what's up. Why did you refund my money. Your page shows that u have them and they are listed for more money now. Are you not going to honer your list price? And i said what a poor business move that is. He emails me back and says when i made my purchase he sold out of the over stock deals, and that he can't help me out. That he can't afford to sell me one of the 1170 ones for 580. So i email him back and say your not out of stock you have 10 listed. So why are you not going to honer your list price??? Then i gave him a little spiel. I said that would be like you going into my buddies pizza place and ordering a lg pizza for $15, you PAY him, he says come back in 10 minutes. You do, he gives you back your money and says if you still want your pizza it is now $25. Sound familiar??
So im a little pissed about this. Not sure if its because it was a great deal or that he re nigged on a deal. Or both.
I would be more understanding if i had just emailed him asking about the catback and in the email he says sorry, but i listed the price wrong. Ok what ever. BUT i actually made PAYMENT, there was a money transfer. And then he says nope refunds my money and raises his price.

So back to the exhaust search again.
Sorry for the length, lol. Its hard to stop writing when ur pissed.

Oh ya and id stay away from the seller tunedcustoms, just sayin.

Actually you can take this up with ebay. I had the same problem awhile back where as someone changed some things in a lot that I bought off ebay. Just so happened to be why I bought it in the first place. Ebay does alot to actually help out the customer, especially after they have already paid and received the item. I would pursue it and try to get the exhaust. Also take screen shots of the listing with the original price, keep all the emails, and make a record of the paypal transaction.

If you go to Ebay they would suggest the seller returning your money, and he already has, they would be no help.

I would be mad as well, just be happy you go your money back. Leave negative feedback and move on. There are much worse things that could of happened.

Id tell him first that if he doesnt honor the deal that you will leave negitive feedback, that might make him take the order for the original price. If it were my business I would have sold it to you Just to save face and a good feed back rating, and file it under unexpected expenses.. Not everything in business makes money....some people are just selfish, hurting his feed back will hurt his business more in the long run, specially with that story.

I don't think you can give him feedback if he cancels the sale. This happened to me with Detroit Wheel. They had a set of new Viper wheels listed for like 900 bucks. So I used the "buy it now" option and paid right away. An hour later I get an email and a phone call cancelling the sale. I had screen shots and everything of the original listing clearly stating the add was for a set of 4. Guy says it was a mistake, the listing should have been for one wheel not 4. I said that was his problem. He said no its not. Ebay didn't do a damn thing either.

Getting ripped is not getting your money back.

It was more of a bummer
