What are you going to do?

Buy a Gen.V SRT Coupe

Buy a Gen.V GTS Coupe

Wait for a Gen.V Vert

Wait for a Gen.V ACR

Keep the Viper I have now

I have waited for about 5 years patiently to get a Viper and within a year moved on to my second one. For now i am very pleased withmy ride, but love the new car.

My wife's grocery gettin' hatchback beside my RT10... don't get me wrong, I love the Corvette for many reasons, just chatting about the vehicle architecture for a Viper..

Call me nuts, it's ok.. but I'd like to see a non-hatchback hardtop coupe version, like the previous gen Corvette Z06.. disregarding aero benefits of a hatchback sloped backlight / glass..

Keep my Gen 2 and hopefully add a either a new GTS coupe or SRT Viper in a year or two. Need to see more pics of the "base" Viper before i can decide between the GTS or the SRT version.

If I could afford a $100,000 car, i would find a way to come up with the extra cash needed for the GTS. I voted wait for convertible, assuming there will be a GTS convertible.

I just spent a small fortune on a new interior and stereo with Bluetooth and navigation on my gen III. Maybe in 6-8 years I'll be able to afford a 2014 GTS convertible.

I love my '04, but I think I'll love the gen v even more.

I think I will just use up whatever fuel is remaining on Earth with my current Viper.

Wait either way as all new model cars make improvements after the first year headaches.

This. The interior is maxed out not much left to improve there.
Have to figure they are going to bump the horsepower in the next years along with a vert and ACR option.
Let the "gotta have its" buy first, I'll take the 675HP ACR lightened with aero coming down the pike...:)

Looking forward to a Blue/white coupe, hopefully GTS (dependent on price). $ is the only thing I'm waiting on at this point.

+1. But only if the new ACR has 675+ hp. I'll be keeping my Aero Coupe though. It already has the improved 5th and 6th gearing and is well on its way to 700 at the crank.

I'd like to start cutting back my work hours in 5-6 years. Buying $100k toys won't help that to happen, particularly if they depreciate rapidly. Collector's cars that retain value might be my only choice from here on out...

Big surprise to me is the GTS is preferred over the base model about 2 1/2 to 1. Right now I'm thinking only 3 options for me...Race Yellow, black stripes and leather seats. Don't believe I've ever turned on the radio in any of my Vipers, don't have GPS , no Iphone, no Ipad and on and on....lost in the 60's, I guess...:omg:

I like the really low look of the front end/hood, but then the windshield and roof pop up too much to make the necessary head room for tracking etc. I want to see how low and sleek looking the vert will be before I decide on buying one. Otherwise I will keep my lowered 2001 I have now..

Keeping the one I have... Since SRT became it's own brand prices of new SRT vehicles have skyrocketed. The Jeep SRT8 jumped over $15K from the 2010 model. Keep in mind other models of the Jeep Grand Cherokee (Laredo, Limited, etc) prices are inline with previous gen with only a modest increase. Same is true for the new Viper, the previous GTS msrp was $91K-$92K, now the base GTS is $125K. ***!? I guess Ralph is trying to milk every penny out of loyal SRT customers, but I'm not buying it.

I will hold on to what I have until they start offering some more dedicated models. I will definitely be looking at one if they offer it with a ver sparse interior and somebody finally breaks the codes for the ECU. Right now it just isn't the car "I" want, but it could become it. I would like to see the Lotus Exige version of the Viper. I hope making a simpler car is something that can be accomplished easily. The 00-02 were Cream Puffs, the Gen5 to me is more Fluff Filled. I love the car, just wish there were other ways to order it.

Sorry, I just realized I commented on a year old thread.
