I've got the Mopar ECU - It doesn't really make that much of a difference in throttle feel. Though it does allow you to do some mods and not get a CEL.

same here, for best low end power go with 3.55!! Congrats on your new beast :)

That's a great idea. I was thinking of how I could boost the low end power and that totally slipped my mind. I will have to read up on
the positive and negative issues.
Thanks!

SYN, be Truthful, How many times did you go out to the garage & look at it that first night & say WOW, thats mine now!

Only like 5 or 6- really. Brought it to the gym today and all the guys were checking it out. A few of the vette guys were drooling and a guy pulled up to take some pictures.

I feel very lucky. I try to keep in mind that something positive can happen from something negative (totaling my 99).

If you are considering some DE's get the ECU, huge difference in pedel response on the 08's. Felt like turbo lag when I first took it out. Better now with the ECU. Will probably want some Stainless Steel break lines if spending sometime on the track as well.

Sorry to sound like a dummy but what are DE'S? Where do you get the ecu from and does it have to be installed by a dealer?

Thanks

I'm right acorss Rt. 309 - Not too far from you.

YES, the ECU needs to be installed by a dealer. I bought my MOPAR ECU from Woodhouse. Had it installed at Bergey's Dodge in Franconia.

That Viper Tech also did my Roe H/F Cats and Corsa, along with Woodhouse Poly Engine Mounts. Good Guy!

Bought my 3.55's already installed in a new Diff from Unitrax. Had it installed at a local Trans Shop not too far from Bergey's Dodge. They also installed 3.55 gears in my '06 Viper and 4.56 gears in my '04 SRT Ram. They aren't cheap, but thay are a Very Good Shop, IMO.

Syn:

DE's are Driver Education events at a race track. Driving on the street the lag is some what noticable, go to a track and you are cursing at the lack of response. Not sure what tracks are in your area, but this is what this car was built to do and even if you only go a few times it is a real eye opener. One word of warning, the grin on your face is addictive!

Synfull,
Great looking car and congratulations. If you are looking for a local event, there will be a lot of Vipers at NJMP NARRA event June 8-10. Hope to see you there.

I know what you are saying (turbo lag). The ecu is on my list along with the 3.55's headers, and ported intake. Funny thing is that stainless steel lines split on my gts causing my accident. I don't know if they weren't installed right but they were fine for 5 years.
