Ranch Get-together @ Little Feather Ranch , July 21 & 22 2012

Those who need or want to make hotel reservations for Saturday night can call the Holiday Inn Express @ 423-570-0080 . * Note * , it's the ONLY hotel in the area so the rooms fill up fast , you may want to make a Reservation now ..you can always cancel if need be .

what we have so far :
Saturday = Viper Club day
*Folks from the East will meet at Watts Bar Dam Overlook 11:00 am - 12 noon or so .
....pictures , meet & greet ...
12:30 , group cruise 45min -1 1/4 or so , back roads to the Ranch ...maps provided
*Folks from the west will meet up with Joel { place & time , 2 B determined } somewhere around Beech Grove ,TN. ..group cruise to the ranch .. maps provided
*Folks wanting to Solo , can cruise to the ranch as they please any time after 12 noon ... although the gates will be open for early arrivals .
Saturday afternoon = RELAX by the pool , pool is open & ready so dive on in ! { bring your own sling chairs ! } Grill'n , BBQ , strolling around , car wash area , garage area for those who want to play w/ or check out their cars . Live Music , generally hanging out together .
We are hoping for { but not yet confirmed } , Viper Cup Race Teams to attend , Accelerator Magazine ..pixs & interviews . Local Band of some sort . Other area Viper Club Chapter attendee's

5:00 -6:00 pm
Those who are Hoteling it can head on down & check in , chill for a bit .
7:300 - 8:00 pm
Gather for Dinner at a local restaurant apprx. 1 1/2 miles from the hotel .. a semi-private room has been set-aside for us . Menu prices are reasonable $ 10 - $15 range .
There is a large parking lot out in front where we all can park together .
Night's End .........
*** Sunday =
Hotelers can eat @ the hotel , read Sunday paper , decide if they want to take a cruise .. Fall Creek Falls State Park , Sequatchie Valley , etc. ......meet up back at the ranch .
Pool , grill'n , stroll'n , hang'n
Sunday will be an open day , meaning we are going to invite some other clubs to come hang w/ us { ie: Southern Exotic's ,etc... Friends of Viper Club folks w/ non Vipers }
Folks can stay for as long or short as they want , generally people decide between themselves when they want to split & who all are going to travel together .

****** Folks , we need to get an idea Early { like now } on how many people will attend , who needs a hotel room ... info on Viper Club guests ...RAIN or SHINE ...IT'S ON ......

I'll ring you tonight during your layover as we discussed last night { have a great trip !! } .... any conflicts are easily resolved , so nothing is a big deal ...... by the way , I didn't get a news letter so I can address wahat the conflict may be ...i'll see if one of the other members will E- it to me and maybe have a fix while your away ... either way , i'll keep you informed & up to date as folks respond .

I don't think we want celsius - unless we want to melt some lead (176 Fahrenheit) but Kelvin might work (-315 Fahrenheit) in July! I'd settle for 80F!

Do you by any chance have an email list I can use to get the word out about this event ... so far it's B& T , C& L , J& G .. T& P , B& K , E& F , T& S ... if we don't get a few more people ....we may have to invite the { Ahhhh ! } Corvette Club !?
I talked to the powers that be .... and I am assured that it WILL be .... daylight ... followed by a period of darkness .... So I think it'll be good !

Brett has all my Viper club (and then some) email addys. Everyone gets newsletter to personal emails 'cause not all members frequent the forums.

They were not under the club name but we'll get a block reserved. Rate is $87 I think. Nice place.

The Manager is working on the block of rooms , i'll post the Code after she calls me with it , however , you CAN register & mention the Viper Club ! I'm getting 15 rooms blocked and a special parking area for the Vipers ! Also , looks like all the rooms will be on the first floor ... at least thats the plan as of this post .

For those of you coming from the West... I had some unexpected surgery that won't allow me to drive or travel so I won't be meeting anyone. The most scenic route is Highway 30 out of McMinnville. Goes over some really twisty backroads through Pikeville and all the way to the turn off at Todd's house. I hate to miss a good time but I have Doctor's (and Gina's) orders to sit still and not complain. I hope I can do both...

I'm taking that to mean Central Time...Pikeville is CST, Dayton is EST...plan to be here 'round noon-ish CST and you cannot go wrong!

Looks like a lot of folks are arriving early, making the Eastern meetup at Watt’s Bar unnecessary. There will be a cruise meetup at 10:00AM CST in Manchester, TN at the Kangaroo Express gas station on the NE side of exit 111 off I-24. This group will drive to the Ranch from the Pikeville side. There will be directional signs up both sides of the mountain (Pikeville & Dayton approaches) leading the way to the Ranch…look for the snake. There is no particular time to be at the Ranch, but there will be people arriving around noon (Central Time).

We have just over a dozen cars confirmed...one recent confirmation is Viper Cup , Archer Racing ..Team Drivers & Owners , David & Tanya Mazyck from FL. Also have a couple more cars making the trek from the deep South.
