Agreed, sounds really great. I'm so torn between doing heads/cam and boost down the road.

Haven't bought the crank yet. Probably in the 530 inch range. About 11:1. Cam is bought. Nice solid roller, still a streetable one though.

Lots more intake port flow. It will have a 2.100" intake valve, compared to the 2.02" valve we're limited to with stock pistons.

Man that sounds GRATE, I'm realy excinted to see how that turns out!

I had the Greg Good treatment done 2 years ago and I've been nothing but smiles since. He's good people and truly someone that puts their heart/soul into their work. I just had my intake ported by Greg and it's a work of art. Not surprised at all by the numbers. Todd also remote tuned my setup and he too is good people. I plan on calling him soon to complete the tuning. Awesome build! Enjoy!

Trust me, it was never in question. Though it was funny to take in the reactions when I said I was doing a top-end N/A build that will net nearly 200 rwhp. I got that "yeah, OK" (BS!) look.

Greg's results never disappoint.

In 13 years of Viper ownership I have never once heard anyone question your abilities.

Thanks for the comments guys. Enjoying the heck outta this thing since getting it back.

On costs to build, I've gotten a few questions on this. Not trying to be elusive but it really depends on what parts you want to add to your build. Greg is probably your best bet to talk to and get an idea on costs to meet your needs. I will say that I was pleasantly surprised when I talked to Greg about the cost of his heads/cam package.

On torque numbers, we were having issues during our baseline pull in capturing TQ numbers throughout the revs. Unfortunately the best graph I could get my hands for torque shows baseline against one of the later pulls in which we were playing with different timings. Peak number was down slightly in this pull vs the final tune, but you get an idea of the TQ difference... just ignore the few blips where the baseline put down an astounding 1,115 rwtq! ;)

I have mathematically backed out your "tq curve" based on chart you provide that includes horsepower and speed. Major assumptions include the fact you dynoed in 4th gear (1:1 ratio), are on stock diff ratio (3.07) and stock sized tires (345/30-19, 27.12" tall). The math checks out, so I am confident that my assumptions match reality. The numbers shown below should be pretty accurate.

Overall, it does look like that beast has a very fat mid range torque curve. The dyno operator could have gone a few extra hundred rpm longer and you would have yielded another 5-10hp. By the way, our tq/hp and horsepower curves very similar. You have slightly more mid-range, while I have slightly more top end. Very interesting and very expected since we have similar setups.

Same dyno machine, before mods & after mods runs, same correction baseline all that matters.

So whats the % improvement. Lets get on the same scale for once.


Been to 5 dynos... 3 DynoJets, 1 DynoDynamics, 1 Dynopack with a Gen3 fully built N/A Motor by A&C Performance with Greg Good Heads & Cam, SCT Tune & Stock Mufflers.

Measurements vary from 670rwhp to 610rwhp no spikes, no excessive smoothing, same fuel, all corrected with no changes to the car in between.

Hey were all in it this far, everyone likes to talk, so strap the car to various dynos, go to a dyno day, compare a bit more and level the playing field.

Andre, you are the man and totally spot on with your assumptions. Absolutely right in that the numbers are very similar too. That was partly by design. :) After seeing your car put down that sick 643rwhp, I figured I might as well go with a similar parts list. Boy it definitely paid off. Still getting used to the new power, its just incredible. On stock runflats I might as well be driving on buttered roadways. LOL, this thing is a hoot!

Same shop, same dyno, same gas, same corrections factors. Baseline pull of 430rwhp was taken upon arrival at Precision Autosports were it was tore down immediately thereafter. Car remained there for install and dyno tuning with the help of A&C Performance. Final number was 619rwhp. Net gain was 189rwhp which equates to a 44% increase.

Thanks Tony. I hear ya. Only 9k on the odometer, but the runflats just don't cut it with the new power. Been eyeing the Nitto NT05 up front and the NT05R out back, maybe a new set of wheels to go along with the tires. Just gotta let the Viper mod-madness cool down a bit or my wife will kill me.

Must be a NASA algorithm...cool

Wow. I love that lopey sound. Crap, why can't I be happy with stock Gen3 HP?

Can you at least compare cost, percentage wise, how this NA build compares with a typical Paxton installation? Just trying to see if they are in the same ballpark since cost is a factor.

I could listen to that engine all day!

Thanks! Well, I can't do the work, or I should say I am terrified to do it. But I get an idea at least.

I still can't get over that sound from ssjcreepers car!
