I just purchased a 2001 gts.

It came with 2 keys and two FOBS (alarm remotes).

The car will start with BOTH setups ... but will only lock with one FOB.

I thought the car wouldnt start with a dead FOB? Is the chip in the KEY or the FOB, I am guessing the KEY ... but read the FOB in another thread.

What is the process to reprogram the FOB after replacing the battery?

hold the lock & unlock button both together for 15 sec to sync the remote to the car.

there is no chip in the keys. if you still are having trouble let me know. i programed 3 new key fobs for my car yesterday

The annual fee is $115.00 per year...all renewals due at start of the calendar year. As a NEW member, the fee is prorated the first year...going down each quarter...and may drop further in on July 1st by my (failing??) memory. The fee is well worth it...VCA discounts, tons of info in the section that you can't see, etc.

As noted...there is a difference between re-syncing a fob and re-programming a fob (s). If you can't get things to work...call one of us.

I may as well stop by the store to get two new batteries, and program both of the FOBs at once.
