As Gen V roll out, What kind of incentive do u think Dodge will do for 2010 inventory. I have seen a few new 2010 verts going for serious cash. IMO, I am surprised the Gen V will be out soon and dealers have not been more aggressive.

While I usually stay out of "pricing"...I will say that there are NOT THAT MANY NEW 2010's left around...so I would personally not expect any huge, factory-backed extra discounts since the 2010's were made in a LOW production year (not like the discounts that we saw late on the 2005's after someone decided to build a TON of 2004's causing a log jam of 04, 05, and 06 verts)...AND, there is NO LOOMING "bankruptcy" causing a slow-down in the 2008 sales as the 2009's rolled out. Today is totally different in my opinion...The Viper/SRT future is BRIGHT !!!

If you have a deal cooking on a 2010, and the dealer is giving a decent discount...don't wait too long as there are more than a few fishing the NEW 2010 Viper waters.

Remember that "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush".

Dodge isn't offering the incentives to dealers as they did on the '09's, you won't see the 15-20K of sticker on them.
Everybody knows its the greatest Viper ever made...:)

It will all depend of the price of the gen5 and its performance numbers when available. If there is no demand for the 2010s the price will go down otherwise it'll stay the same or even go up a little, it's as simple as that.

I personaly think the price is staying put on the 10's because the dealers truly believe that the Gen4 is a nicer car then the gen 5. If the Gen 5 production car was the GTS-R version, then I would def say that the Gen 4's were have dropped dramaticaly as everyone would be jumping all over a new Gen 5 and not waisting money on an 2010. All said, lets see what sales numbers this new version puts out. I do remember someone in SRT saying something about making the future Vipers more available and in more numbers then the past Gen's as they had limited numbers of production as Dodge wanted it then to keep the Viper more exclusive.

IMO

I started by looking at used 08's. You know how it goes, than went to 09's,10's. I was just really surprised to see not 1, not 2, but a few dealers asking MSRP and more for 2010's. Im wondering who is going to buy 100k Gen IV when the Gen V is around the corner. I just thought the dealers would be a bit more aggressive. I have contacted 1 dealer not naming names 2x's in an email and spoke to him. All I wanted is a picture. There listing has no picture. I know these guys get there colors crossed. No response. Just sent him another email. Thanks Rusty I will shoot woodhouse a email see if they have what I am looking for. Steve-Indy I have nothing cooking, the cook will not take my order :)
Thanks Abe, appreciate the info.

FWIW... I purchased my 2010 on Feb-23rd 2012, for 79k... Sticker was $99,180.00... New, with 4 miles

You were very fortunate and found a car the dealer wanted to get rid of at a loss. Good for you.
Not the norm.
I can guarantee you Woodhouse or Tomball won't be offering that discount on a 2010.
Besides, what are there 15 maybe in the whole country in some pretty iffy colors.
But I'm sure you could get 10K off.

FEDBYVORTECH, there ARE dealers out there who not only love the Viper as much as we do, but who have worked tirelessly for many, many years to see to it that their Viper owner/customers remain "happy campers". I feel very fortunate to be able to call some FRIENDS. Hopefully, if there is a specific 2010 Viper in which you are interested, it will be available from one of our well known site supports. I like all Generations of Vipers (or I would not keep them!!)...but will admit that 2008's, 2009's, and of course 2010's exceed most of my own expectations !! Good hunting !!

Steve, why would somebody pay top dollar for an 10' when you could get an 08' with low miles for a good bit less (aren't they pretty much identical) just asking!

Matt, forgive my short explanation. I am just saying that it is NOT a buyers market on new 2010 convertibles as there so few left. At the same time, I certainly KNOW that I could get an excellent discount on a 2010 Coupe from at least 3 quality dealers. Discounts are not dead...but supply/demand will come into play on the few 2010 verts left. How bad does one want/need one??!!!

Now, to cross into other years is a whole different discussion...and I agree with you that the 08's and 09's that have been well cared for can offer great savings...and are fine Vipers !!! However this "argument" does not work if the party HAS to HAVE a 2010...which is how I interpreted the original poster's desires/hopes !! :)

ViperJon, you are correct. Woodhouse and Tomball would only go 10k off sticker...

Please post a link to a new 2010 ACR selling in the 80's somewhere.
I'd like to see the "quite a few" of them. Or one of them.

You bought a solid color non striped SSG ACR and it had a sticker of 117K?
That cannot be.
The striped ones were 113K. With full two tone option and drivers stripe they were no more than 113K.
Striped cars are always more than solid cars.

I have never seen a sticker price that high on any ACR anywhere.

Tattooed just show us the sticker. I have never seen an acr for that much. I'd love to see what they "loaded" your car with.

I thought the same exact thing. At 1st I thought it might be that (so called) WC ACR that baxter dodge was selling, but that car has stripes.

MSRP on a solid SSG ACR is 105k unless you get the two tone interior and nav, which would be 108k or so. This does not include any taxing. Maybe the dealer "modified" things a little.....

That is what I am being told as well ViperJon. There are not enough 2010's sitting on lots to warrant incentive's. I found SSG & Toxic Orange verts with stripes exactly what I am looking for. But purchasing for MSRP may force me into divorce. My wife will loose her mind. I have seen it before and it’s not a pretty sight :-0 Its cool, im fine with a used one I will just need to be patient. It will give me time to spackle and paint my garage.

Thanks Eric I was hoping you would chip in you have the same car.

I'm still waiting for the link to the NEW 2010 (or 2009 for that matter) ACR's that are in the 80's
Then all the bull**** can be called out at once...:)
These pricing threads really bring out the shinola.

What happened to Abe Froman?? There is still an unanswered question (red one from Bud's???)...though I probably have guessed the answer...which would account for the "bargain" price.
