I need to buy a OBD II code reader. Is there a specific type for the Viper or will any reader do?

Even the major parts retailers (OReilly's, Advance Auto etc) have 'em for prices in the $40-$45 range

PLX Device OBDII bluetooth device and a $5 app via phone/tablet/kindle/etc. It will do basic scanner function, but also allow you to log data and even take video with car telemetry superimposed on it.

Has anyone tried this yet? Look pretty cool. Looks like this is the app you have to buy for $50.

Does it give you hp & torque? I'm sure they arean't that accurate but it would be nice to get some ballpark ranges from it.

Thanks
