I bought a used three piece top and was trying to fit it up today and I have a couple questions for those that have one of the early versions. This is going on gen II RT10

In addition to the three top sections the hardware I received is the rear mounting bracket which consisted of about an 18" piece of aluminum bar stock with two studs, four m8 threaded studs and four m8 nuts. Here are my questions,

1) Does it sound like I have all the hardware that came with the early design of this top?

2) To install your sport pad are you supposed to remove the four threaded studs and re install the sport pad using the OEM fasteners or is there a faster way of do installing the sport pad?

3) What holds the weather strip that is fastened to the sport pad that the back of the door closes up against? I know on the later versions of this top the mounting hardware supports this weather strip but is that supposed to just hang out there loose on this version of the top? I have a feeling I'm missing something here.

If I'm doing something wrong here any pictures you could shoot me would help.

Thanks,
Jerry

Hey Jerry, I thought the one you got was the latest version of the two. Carl (Lemke) told me the one I was looking at was the older version but the earlier one that was sold (yours) was the latest version. Either way, sorry but I have no idea how its suppose to go on. But, I know there's somebody on here that can tell you exactly what goes where. If nothing else, call Mr. Lemke (Carl or Jeff could definitely tell you)! Have you already got it painted jmo

Sounds like you are missing the pieces to put on your sport pad, which (current version) consists of four machined blocks with hand-tightenable screws that attach to the four studs that you put into the "roll bar". The original version had some pins with detent balls in them, which did not do such a good job. I contacted them (Jeff, as I recall), and they sent me the new style sport-pad blocks and studs for free even though I was happy to pay for the upgraded attachments. In any event, if you have any doubts, just contact them; they'll likely help you out.
