I feel your pain!! I would tell you what they said to me but I would get in trouble. I go there because there are some good knowledgeable guys and I like to fight. And encourage new people not to run away. Glad to see you AJ. I am also on VIPERFORUMS.NET
Yeah & Sybil does the same crap over there! She DOES like a Good Fight (I had forgot about viperforums until Sybil mentioned it & I went over & checked it out & sure enough I saw Sybil right in the middle of a Bunch of Crap)! Lol! I Really think you're gonna get Bored on here UNLESS you Really want to Talk & get Valuable Information about Vipers! jmo

Usually no fighting . Only when a few get an urge to cross over from the alley and start trouble. I don't cause trouble unless someone does first but game on if needed!!!!!!

If you say so! By the way, does having 3.55 Gears wake one of these vipers up?

It Definitely Does, But its Not as Drastic as you would think (at least not to me)! As far as driving around town (you will shift a lil' bit more but not THAT much). And on the highway you at least get to use 6th gear now! JonB has always said it feels like you added 60-70 more hp (seat of the pants wise)! I can PROMISE you I'll NEVER go back to stock, but I have a Creampuff (so I'll never be putting a SC or TT on either) they say the stock gears are better with either of those! Everybody always told me after I put the 3.55's in I would wonder WHY I waited so long to do it & they were right. Getting everything you need including hardware, fluids, etc.. from JonB & getting them installed you should still be under $1,200 (I guess it depends on where you live or do it yourself) mine was around $1000!

Here is a picture of my Viper, and me with my R8. Couldn't find any pics of me with the Viper. I've had it for almost 9 years.

Is that an early 70's Camaro I see hiding in the garage? Nice shot of your Viper. The black/silver (or are the stripes white?) combo is really nice.

Congrats on having a dd as fun as the R8! Hopefully you won't get to know the traffic court judge on a first name basis. :)

Sybil go for the gears you will love it! Its much more fun to drive and not only will your car wake up .....so will your passengers when you step on it . I went to 3:73s because of late model wheels ' it should have came that way from the factory ! The gears are safe and have no complications [if done correctly ] unlike some internal engine mods . If you can locate someone near you that has one already done , maybe they will let you drive it . You will love it !

Sybil, I agree with Iceman. You will really like new gears. I went with 3.33's because of the SC, otherwise I would've gotten 3.55's.

Now if I can only get a sc!!! or TT!! Thanks for your input. I guess it will cost around $1,000 to $1,200 for gear swap?

Sybil if you don't have a Viper Tech or know a Good Corvette Guy thats done some of the Dana rear ends, the Best place to go is to a 4-Wheel Drive Specialist. This is who actually done mine, I have a friend that owns a 4-Wheel Drive Shop & thats what they Specialize in, Dana & Dana 44 rear ends everyday (probably more so than a Viper Tech or Corvette Guy, they're mostly motor guys). The last thing I want is some kind of a humming sound coming from the rear end! jmo
