What is the reality of flexibility when buying a viper? Say if someone has a viper for 47k, is it possible to talk them down to 45k or even 43k? Or does it really depend on how firm the owner is? Is anyone actually winning the negotiation aspect of a deal when buying vipers now days? And how much is the averaged dollar flex?

Sorry if I confuse anyone. I am not here to do low balling of any such, but I am also not in this to over pay on something.
Just looking out for the next best deal.

Thanks for looking and I appreciate any answers.

What Gen Viper are you looking for? 2 or 3? There are some nice Gen 2 cars out there for less than that. A dealer may budge on price, but I doubt a private seller would drop that much. Its all down to the seller and how desprate they are to sell!
When I bought my car some years ago the seller did not budge on price, but I got extras thrown in the deal (wheels and tires) and the seller helped me with shipping to make the deal sweet.
I think if you turn up for a deal then start to low ball, you will be wasting your time and the sellers. Checking the cars History is key, and when you find one that fits your spec requirements, I'm sure you will be happy. Make sure you get a Carfax check done. If you find a cheap viper, you really need to check why it's cheap.

Good luck.

Every circumstance is different so you'll never get a definitive anwser on this. Do your best negotiating and leave it at that.
Good luck with your search as there are alot of great cars out there. :2tu:

Thank you much. Exactly the answers I need. I respect the family and will own one here in the near future. I know I will get a great car no matter what.

You can always ask the seller if they would be willing to help you out on the price. Can't hurt to ask...

Bottom line, the agreed on price depends on how badly they need to sell and how badly you want to buy.

^ never really thought of that, I guess the worst that would happen is that they say "no".

I think the first step should be what is your budget, the max you are willing to spend and have. Once you have that certain, start searching to see if they're are any Vipers that fit what you are looking for. Then contact the owner, research the car and decide if you want to make an offer. I believe most sellers will negotiate so long as they know that, you the buyer, are serious and have the funds to make a purchase. Good luck on your search.
