Wondering what speeds Viper drivers are going daily and how often they go over 100 mph? We are trying to develop Viper Durability testing and this information will be helpful in developing future products and test. Thanks in advance for your time and help.

We averaged 170.9 mph over the 100 mile open road race called the Elko Gamblers Run in 1998. Still have in car video of the entire run if interested. WOT over most of the course at high altitude. Back when I was young and stupid.

There may have been some times that I might have been cruising in 6th gear with the tach somewhere in the middle or maybe a little higher. ...not really sure, just remember not being late.

When I drove my GTS daily I would hit 100mph maybe once
a month, around here those kind of speeds aren't realistic
for commuter runs. I did however run down a porsche on
[insert approved non-highway racetrack here] one night
that was 81 miles in 45min without needing to shift. If I
were driving on a regular basis I would say 60-80mph is my
normal operating range for this car. 85% of the time, even
now, the car is going at least 60mph.

I'm thinking this ques is for guys who drive their cars on the street...but anyways, for me, I go over 100 every time I take the car out for a spin, and about every two minutes thereafter with avg speed around 80 mph. On the track of course. 10k miles and counting on Gen IV ACR.

in the old gen 2, you cant even use 6th unless you are going 90+ mph. I usually go about that on the highway just cruising to my destination. When I am on the back roads by myself, I run it up thru 3rd and into 4th....130+ easy, but I do it very quickly with twin turbos on the car so its really no danger to anyone when I can get to 130 and back to 55 in just a few seconds. Id say I am in the 130s every time I go out in the car. I cant help it...the BOV's sound awesome and are addicting!

although mine does not have a stock engine, everything else pretty much is, and she cruised over 1500 miles much of it between 100-110 mph not too long ago....the car belongs at that speed for cruising.

I value my insurance and driving record... plus I just do not feel comfortable at high speeds since you are less in control of your car or would have none in case something happens, and it can happen in a blink of an eye...I have cruise in my car. I just set it at 70 mph and chill.

I never go over 100MPH but my car does. I am limited by osteoarthritis to a fast walk of about 4.5 MPH. The car, which now has an AI chip and pedal activators in it, goes out by itself on a regular basis and reaches speeds, in what it has assured me are safe and lawful venues, in excess of 100 MPH. It thanked me when I upgraded the transmission with John Donato; put in the Giken performance differential and installed the 2010 ACR front antisway bar. It says that it feels more robust and durable.

I've recently moved from CA to TX and found that some of the roads here can be pretty nasty too. Lots of *** holes, "tracks" in the asphalt, etc. plus many "two lane roads" that should be called 1.5 lane roads.....and the driveways can be very tough on splitters, fascias, diffuser blades, etc.

I've hit over a hundred here and there for short periods but I did take it to 170 once. Scared the hell out of me. Car was smooth though...too smooth. But it was for a good cause. Had to spank a vette. It was necessary.

On 2 occasions, I've had sportbikes mess with me on the highway. They give up after about 140. I rock up to 170/175ish for a bit, they stop bugging me after that.
Haven't done that in quite a while............
