Well, as some of you may or may not know, I wrecked my 2006 Blue/Silver coupe 4 months ago. I had been on the lookout for a Gen IV coupe to replace it, but not having much luck in finding the specific color combo I was after. I was okay with that though as winter is around the corner, and I had no reason to be in a hurry.

This car had been available for some time, and while I was full speed ahead on a Gen IV, this was always in the back of my mind. It had a perfect mod list, including a Paxton and supporting mods, and I couldn't get it out of my head spending considerably less for this car over a Gen IV. I've always been the modding type, so an already customized Viper suits me perfectly. I decided to go for it, and picked it up last weekend!

It's a 2006 coupe with 24k miles. To go along with the Paxton, its got a DLM tensioner and upgraded heat exchanger, VEC3 engine management, ATI balancer, larger injectors and in-tank fuel pump, Belangers with no cats, Corsa, KWs etc. The list goes on. I'm in the process of having it retuned to around 650rwhp (it's a little higher now). I have added my old 360 Forged wheels, and have Moton's to install as well as my 3.55 Unitrax diff. I will be polishing the Paxton and adding a polished intake manifold and throttle body. I may or may not add polished valve covers...sometimes I think I would like the color in the engine bay. To round it off in the spring, I'll add a new 2008 hood.

I have to say, the blue/silver was my personal favorite color combo for an 06, but the compliments this red coupe has been getting has been nothing short of amazing...I guess everyone likes a red Viper:lmao:

So the choice was between SSG and VVO, and somehow you end up with a red?? lol. I guess the world works in mysterious ways. Congrats on the new ride.

Nice to get into a car that's got all the mods you wanted and none of the ones you don't. That never seems to happen. Looks great man! Congrats.

Red coupes look great, nice purchase. Keep the blower/intake all business looking, most guys I know with polished ones regret having polished ones due to the upkeep. If you want to do something different powdercoat the intake and blower stuff in something like wrinkle black or gloss gunmetal gray.

I'll buy it when you grow tired of it. it's exactly what I want to upgrade to.

Thanks Jeff. Yeah, I made a thread about here on the VCA, but didn't feel like going through it on the other boards. We have a newborn, and I wasn't entirely sure what I'd be upgrading to, so I just left it unsaid until I got into something else. I'll hold you to it...this car would be a helluva upgrade!

I know what you're saying, but I'm one of the weirdo's who enjoying cleaning the car. Plus, I already have the polished manifold in the garage...
