After an hour of driving, when I get out of the car my ears ring for a little bit. It's music to my ears while driving. So loud and mean.

I have full Belanger on my 01GTS, I get drone, but its worth it. I can scare small children and old ladies at will. I have been told many times how wicked my car sounds. I had a nice stereo system installed, it easily overcomes the drone on the highway.

Best of luck.

Change your rear end gears and you'll be out of the Belanger drone RPM range. Used to notice the drone with stock gears, but with the 3.73:1 gears, it revs higher so out of the drone zone.

I'm guessing my 3.55 gears help some in my '00 but you're right Marty the sound of a full Belanger system at WOT is music, sounds like a freakin' F1 car :headbang:

Full belanger treatment heads, catback, high flow cats and I little drone at low RPM's. Wasn't enough to notice unless you were specifcally listening for it. WOT is just ********. Added heads/cam and it sounds like armageddon is coming. I added two additional DynoMax race bullet mufflers where the stock resonators used to be to try and tone down the decibel levels at the track. Didn't work. But it did eliminate whatever drone I used to notice. At one point, Lou offered a 4 muffler verision of the catback using Dynomax race bullets. Consulted with Lou on which one to purchase and installed them into the system. If you're very sensitive to drone consider the 4 muffler version of the catback.

Conclusion: The right to go deaf and the right to give deafness > not having Belangers

Well jjp11 was just talking to me about drone a few days ago but after reading martb and daves remarks... that seals the deal for me!
Thanks guys.
I can't wait for April :)

I think Zee has got it right, why not use the Belanger header and combine it with the Corsa exhaust. You'll have headers and the exhaust you prefer. Loud does not equate to drone. Only when you purchase a cat back other than Corsa. You'll never hear anyone talk about adding HP reducing mufflers on a Corsa. Engineering defeats back yard technology every time. No disrespect to the other brands, but what Corsa has is unavailable anywhere else.

Viper Tony has it right, nothing makes a Viper sound good like a head and cam job. Ends the UPS sound for good.

I have a full GTS side exhaust from Belanger. Some drone, but WTH, it's a loud car regardless. It does sound wicked at WOT so the rest is irrelevant to me.

What exactly is drone? What does it sound like? I have a Borla 3" cat back with factory exhaust that sounds awesome to me. Getting ready to put some Belanger 3" cats on and then I think some headers later.

Drone is typically encountered when your in a cruising gear and you are under load. It's a really annoying boomy sound that overcomes the cabin space.

Sybil, I hear drone whenever my wife is talking about something and I'm trying to concentrate on something else.

M&M Headers, Random Tech high flows and RT cat back... my car has a lot of drone. It's due to the cat back not the headers. If you don't want drone, get some Corsa's.

Really like your chrome cap at the end. Is your car a Gen I or II? I had Berlinger headers put on. Very load sounds great.

She probably says the same thing about you when she is trying to sleep.;)
