Hi,

Any of the Northern Ca VCA members know any history on the 08 blue and white GTS they had at serramonte nissan?

I just picked her up last week for 59.5, she's only got 4500 miles, although the tires look alittle worn. Very clean car from what I can tell. Not a scratch on it, paint or rims, even under front chin is clean. Was it a VCA members car? Purchased in 08 in Dublin area and remained in Bay area. Manager claimed origional owner traded it in on a GTSR.

Any help would be appreciated.

Replace the tires first. Vipers and old tires are a bad combination. Pay attention to tire date codes. You hit 4 years, get new ones no matter how much tread is left.

Interesting! I have a 08 Blue with White stripe coupe. Obviously not factory but as far as I know there was one other car like that. The other car was wrecked and repaired recently and seller was in FL I believe. Car had 50k+ miles on it last I heard.

Hum........

Yes it is the one in that video,

This is my 5th viper, Ive owned a gen 1 roadster, a gen 2 #039 GTSR, two gen 3 convertibles and now this 08 coupe (looks like the GTS blue color, not sure if its the exact same or not) it is NOT a 96 or 97.

Also the white stripes are under the clear coat. Looks factory not add-on.

It has the two tone Black and Blue interior as well.

Thanks

Also as I mentioned before, Car-Fax = 1 owner, 2 minor service records (NGR) from bay area dodge dealer,
and only registered in the California bay area

if the stripes are under the clear coat they are not factory

Correction: Factory stripes are both over and under a clear coat. They are painted over the existing base/clear coat then painted on and clear coated. In other words, the stripes do in fact have a clear coat.

Still hoping to find someone (hopefully a N. Cal VCA member) who is familiar with the car...?

Great deal on that car even with the "aftermarket" stripes.

Cooincidently, the high mileage one just showed up on Ebay today.

You sure about that......... Maybe tapered more.......

This is correct. The 2010 cars have the tapered stripes. Narrower in front and get wider as they go towards the rear of the car. The '08 & '09 have the thin same width stripes that run the length on the car.

Those are like OEM 08-09 stripes. They start out in the front around 5" and widen to end up about 9" on the rear deck. I say "like" since there were no factory GTS blue with white stripe cars. Beautiful car!!

Looks like you finally have the correct information here. My question is why do some of you idiots post things that are incorrect and say they are correct. When in fact you don't know squat?
