Finally off jack stands. Just wanted to add my take on the Belanger/Corsa combo for those of you out there who are driving yourselves crazy like I did wondering and reading about what the "best" exhaust combo is for sound. I have no experience with any combo other than just the stock manifolds with Roe HF cats with the Corsa (2.5") I had before this upgrade, so this is just my opinion on this set up. I know there are dozens of other combos that people are happy with, so to each his own. First I want to say thanks to Lou Belanger for his help. I bought the headers from another club member here and contacted Lou regarding mating them to my Corsas. He sent me his ceramic high flow cats welded to the 90* turnout pipe, with heat shield and O2 **** ready to bolt on to the headers and the perfect stub length reduced down to 2.5" to clamp on to the Corsas, no cutting at all (the 2.5" Corsa came on the car and I really saw no need to replace the whole setup just to go to 3"). This guy know his stuff. I already had the O2 extensions and they are necessary to get good clearance for the wires. Had to jack the passenger side of the engine up just a bit to clear the header, but wasn't that big of a deal. MM's were recently changed out so the bolt wasn't too tough to get loose.

At cold start, you still get a little of the Corsa raspiness and I thought I had done all this work for nothing, but the low rumble is there. However, once its warmed up, the raspiness is gone and that low rumbly growl everyone is looking for (or at least I was) is all that's left. It sounds awesome. And cruising, the Corsa does its job. No drone, very enjoyable with the top down. But she screams like a banshee at WOT. Only other engine mods are Paxton, fuel upgrade and SCT tune by A.R.T. Before the headers, had 652 RWHP. Once I get the new tune and dyno, I'll post any increases in case anyone is wondering how the Belangers affect performance.

So for anyone considering this set up, go for it. I love it.

While I had the car somewhat torn down, I decided to do a few other things:
-LED's inside and out. Really freshens things up, especially inside. http://forums.viperclub.org/threads...-Lighting-Thread/page9?highlight=led+lighting
-New speakers and sub box (used the plans posted by deadman http://forums.viperclub.org/threads/624763-Subwoofer-which-fits-and-sounds-(finally)? highlight=subwoofer ); but I stuck with the 6.5", since I didn't want to cut the rear bulkhead; sounds pretty good, nothing earth shattering, it's a 6.5" sub)
-Wheels and tires off of Synergy's old red vert (Thanks Nick!)

Well......definitely not downplaying the S/C, it is a rocket. But in light of the other beasts that some of the other guys on here have created, I can't help but still be somewhat humbled...:drive: Thanks for the compliments though. Almost two years with this beauty and she still scares the crap out of me sometimes. I guess thats what keeps us alive.

do you have high flow cats? that opens up the sound a lot. Or cat deletes. I had HF cats and stock manifolds and the sound is louder but not night and day louder. As with many things, loudness is subjective. I like it loud but not all the time, and I don't like the drone. Idling, this combo produces a bassiness that I can here inside my house, and outside you can here it idling down the street, but its not obnoxious, like a Harley with drag pipes. But when you romp on it, it's definitely "wake the neighborhood" loud. Hope that helps. I'll try to get a sound clip soon. The car's in storage now while I finish my Jeep build (I know, the Viper should never be second to anything, let alone a Jeep! but I need the room.)

Car looks awesome! Minus the paxton and I've got a very similar setup.

Can't say enough about the Belanger/Corsa combo. It really screams when you want it to!

You don't happen to have any pictures having to do with how/where you mounted the focal components, do you?

I assume you mean component speakers referenced in the sub box thread. I didn't duplicate anything in that thread except for the speaker box. I replaced the door speakers with some Kicker 2 ways (11KS65) and the rear tweeters behind the hoops with some Kicker 3/4" (11KS20) speakers. They're inexpensive but effective. I left the dash speakers alone. But I have an extra pair of the 3/4" that I will probably stick in there.
