Has anyone had the problem with the drivers side front hood popping up when you drive. I have given it a good sound close and then when I get back out after a short drive its popped up again. Does anyone know how to maybe adjust the latch or know of another fix for this. It is annoying. I guess if thats my worse complaint life must be pretty good. lol. Thanks

When i first purchased my gts i had the same problem. I would have to give it an extra hard push on one side to get that side to fully latch.

Your rubber stops might be adjusted slightly to high not allowing the hood to fully latch when pushed down. To properly adjust them start by lowering like 2 full turns.
Then cut two strips of paper and have someone hold them on top of the rubber stoppers while you shut the hood.
The paper strips should be able to freely pull out.
Next open the hood and redo that process each time raising the stopers by a half turn untill the paper gets stuck between the hood/stopper and can not be pulled out.
The goal is to get the stoppers to just contact the hood with a slight amount of pressure.

Also, when shutting the hood, i like to smoothly push the hood down untill it gets to the latching point, then give it a firm/swift push down to engage the latches.

Mine does this on the track. It pops up almost every session. It is fully closed and locked when I go out. I try pulling it up and it's def. locked. Every time I come in the drivers side is popped though :/

dru282, please check to be sure that your hood is not touching your poly-carbonate headlight covers. I usually check this by sliding a business card between the two. If it binds, trouble lurks.

I tried the business card. No binding. But I am not sure I fixed the problem. I may have loosened it up too much with the stoppers because now the hood doesn't pop when you do the latch in the grill. You have to press on the hood. I think I just need to tinker with the stops. But I was glad to see that it surely isn't hitting anything. No marks under the hood. Thanks for all your help.

Explaining Viper things to you
-> spray the latches with WD40 that will help immensely

-> ensure you are closing the hood from the proper location which is not up front by the latches but inside between the hood vents
