Picked up my first Viper GTS with the help of this Forum. You guys helped me pick out alot of things on this car that I never knew, and got me in touch with a previous owner. A big thanks goes out to everyone.
Found it on ebay in Miami FL late November 2012 and had it shipped to me in PA late December. Looked at it like a Christmas gift. It arrived during a snow storm. Pulled it into the garage right away, went over it, cleaned, winterized it, then put her away. Did manage to take it for a 10 min drive to where it sits in storage as of right now. I was bored, and missed the Viper today. So I took I took the cover off and snapped a few pictures to share with ya'll. As of right now I am thinking of putting the 20" HRE wheels up for sale and going with CCW SP600 polished finish in a 18-19" set up with some Invo tires. Or maybe finding a perfect set of stock wheels. I really like look of the stock wheel, and the CCW SP600's are just pure sex on a Viper. Dont get me wrong, the 20" HRE look good on this car, but I am worried about rubbing. The roads around here can get pretty ruff. So I wouldn't mind having the extra tire under. Plus, fond of the look with a little rake to the front of the Vipers. Which the OEM wheels dont provide. Kind in a delemia here about wheels. O well, on to the pictures

Beautiful GTS...I really like the offset on those rear wheels. But I agree, 18/19s might look more at home on it. Or at least 19/20's. Don't want to go too big on the front.

Just looking at the pictures again, or you missing the hood decal on the drivers side??????

Also if your looking to trade those wheels on some H-spokes I would be interested.

Hood decal is missing on drivers side. Hoping to pick one of these up for a decent price. Will have to pass on the H-spoke though. Just not what I am looking for at the moment. Kind of leaning towards the sp600. Thanks Todd

Hey just wondering what you meant by driving when its cold. Are you talking about the tires not warming up enough. Just making sure there is nothing else to keep an eye on. Heck the way its been lately 50 feels like a heat wave.

Looks good but 20's up front is too much, especially with stock brakes being so tiny.

20/20 are perfect. Srt10 brake conversion a must! HRE builds a quality wheel with perfect offsets so drive it around first before you decide to sell them, they won't rub at all. I've had a number of HRE sets on my last GTS and it was lower then your car without any rubbing issues.

My personal opinion is that your wheels make your car. :)

Great purchase.

Best color around and a nice looking car! If you decide to go back to stock wheels, drop me a PM. I have a set of chromed stocks off of mine that I'll make you a deal on. They are in excellent condition, just not being used.

I would doube check the frame, make sure it has not been bent or pulled. Other wise should not be a big deal. Did you do a carfax and call Chuck Tator for a History report on the car before you bought?

Frame damage? Why does my car have frame damage now? It there somthing I am missing with this car, that I do not know about?

LOL, just get her on a lift and have a look man. If the front emblem was off chances are the front facia was repainted. Why? I dont know, could have been a small fender bender with no other damage besides the bumper, or could have been a tree at 80mph. Looking for cracks inthe core support is an easy way to spot a front end collision on a viper.... If that looks solid then you are prob good to go.

If your facia has been painted then chances are that the stripes feal different than on the hood&roof. They should be layered on top of the paint so that when you run your finger over them you feal an edge like its a decal.
If it was painted, no worries as long as it looks good IMO. Ive repainted my facia once and will prob have to do it again in the future because i drive the car frequently and get a lot of rock chips from highspeed freeway & trackdays.

Good call on ditching those wheels. 20's are too much for a Viper from a stylistic & performance standpoint IMO. Especially in the front
and especially in that flashy style you have.

Forget about the stock wheels...

Your def on the right track with the CCW SP600's, I love that style. Very similar to the HRE 547's that i have in 19's. Wish i could trade my 3-piece HRE's for a nice set of once piece SP600's in 19R/18"F.

Car doesnt have frame damage. Im not sure where that came from. It has had some paint work done, but that doesn't bother me.

HRE's are top quality wheels in my book thats why it's hard getting rid of them. Since the car is lowerd I am worried about a harsher ride because of large wheels and the 25 series tire. I would probly be happier with a 345/30 series on the 20" rear, but read the tires rub plus Invo doesnt make a tire in that size. I am thinking 19" rear and 18" front will be the perfect size for me. Kinda looking for an all around set up. Any help in this area from someone who has had a similar situation would be appreciated. Also, I am worried about the staggered set up messing with the abs.

Staggered set up messing with your abs? The wheels from the factors are staggered. No bearing on your abs system.

This is good news then. Wasnt sure if there was a certain ratio, in diameter, btw the front and rear wheels that I had to keep to so the abs works properly.
