That is wonderful! Welcome to Viper ownership and the VCA. You own a beautiful Viper. Be careful, you treat it well and it will respond. Hope to see you out and about! Weather cooperated this weekend!

Just updating the post here.... I have been driving it as much as I could yesterday as well as taking kids niece and nephews out for a juy ride but the best was my sister-in-law who related it to a roller coaster ride. It has been a blast but felt I needed to put it away for the weekend as I was getting to heavy in the pedal for my own good. I don't want to be known as that guy who first wrecked his new Viper. The car accelerates amazingly well and the traction control keeps the car stuck to the pavement and helps in controlling the acceleration. I had it up to 125 with my friend Femi at the BMW dealership, 120 with my wife and 117 with my sister-in-law. That was in third gear, I think... Anyway, it has been a blast to drive this weekend and can't wait to get another great day when I can drive it again.

Congrats. She's beautiful as are her other stable mates. Have fun breaking her in. Could've sworn I read the owners manual on line and it talked about driving 50 mpg max for the 1st 50 miles, but not sure. I'm 2013#495 so I'm a couple of months behind ya. Any driving/ownership tips as you break her in would be appreciated by us serpent hopefuls. And of course, please post as many pics as possible of that Stryker!!

I just received my new Viper yesterday and was out driving it a couple of times. It is an ANIMAL...! Thanks to all those who helped make this car a reality. Special thanks to Steve Sharples from SRT as well as Ben Keating from Viper Exchange as they were incredibly helpful in the past year making this happen. I'm heading out for a drive and plan to post some pics later... Scott

Scott,

Congrats on the car and welcome to the club/forums! Enjoy and for sure be safe! :)

Scott, Congratulations on an awesome car and welcome to the Viper Club of America. Several of us were there at the Barrett auction in Orange County to see THE car that represents the return of VIPER, all of the efforts and the fantastic result it is today.

You have something very special, for sure.

Nice Stryker Red and congrats on VIN #001. Saw it a the CAAP getting ready for delivery to you! Wonderful addition to your stables! I'm sure you are making a lot of excuses to take it out! I'm jealous....

Safe driving!

P.S. Whoever photoshopped those silver w/white GTS's.....damn you!! I LOVE that color combo! Maybe in '14 and beyond it'll be offered?

Scott - we at SRT are glad to see that you are driving your new car (even if it is VIN 001) the way it was intended! If you want to really drive your Viper hard, you should go to a Track Day (seriously, it is way safer than racing on the street). Call me - you have my number - and keep driving your Vipers!! We run them ******* the track, so that when you choose to do so, you can know that your Viper is capable of running with the best in the World. No matter how much They cost!

And this is what makes Chrysler/SRT the best car brand of the world. You would never see what is quoted above from any other brand on the planet!

Thanks SRT for being "you" (you in a plural form so to speak.....:rolaugh::D)! You guys (and gals) rock!! :yay:

I got to see the #001 at cars and coffee a couple of weeks ago, may have to save for a bit longer before I take my first bite! Stunning car!
