Viper T/A in Canada

So I did not get my 2013 Viper Stryker Red, They cancelled my 2010 1.33 edition for Canada. So I bought a 2014 Jeep SRT white which came in. And my Wife has claimed it. I have got a serious itch. I want a Viper, one that I can take to Mosport so an ACR would be best, but do not know if I can wait. Are all the T/A spoken for ?

Dealer is working on it. But not in Canadian system. This would be the 3rd Car unavailable. LOL. AT least I got one of the First 2014 Jeep SRT8. It is an awesome machine

Being a 2014 year model, I bet the dealers won't even know if they have a TA allocation until August.

funny i went in to check out a LE and a SRT red track pack, which i did and then came out and fell in love with a new Ram 1500 that was outside on the way out. I guess I did the opposite...snake order is in. Truck, not yet.

No Dealer in the US or Canada can order a 2014 of any kind, so anyone telling a consumer I can order you one is not being truthful. Dealers can take deposits , of course, with a buyers wishes and at present that is the best procedure. 2014s will likely be open for order in June or July , but there could also be a chance that the TAs are allocated. Many buyers think they have a vehicle ordered once they get a VON ( Vehicle Order Number), but if the Dealer never gets an allocation for said vehicle it will not be honored. Many often confuse not getting a car as an order being cancelled , when in reality the Dealer never had one coming to him.

With the immense interest in the TA , Dealers should be contacting their Sales Reps and SRT to let them know of the demand - I know we have !!! There should be two other colors done, besides Orange, with White and Black the likely contenders, so there will be more than the initial number hitting showrooms. Canada will get a decent share, I am sure, but it is based on total sales , so it would make sense to go to a Dealer with a bigger allocation and not try to pin one's hopes on a small Dealer who might get only 1-2 cars. Not likely he would receive a limited number Snake.

Hope this helps and keep posting as SRT does view the website and it does help them see the real interest in this new beast!!

Well since they're listening: Great job allowing the customer to chose up to 150,000 different options/cominations on the new snake!! As you saw, and contrary to your expectation, 9 out of every 10 orders is a custom optioned GTS, NOT the base SRT car. So its what the vast majority of customers want, obviously.

Just one constructive criticism: While red brake calipers are great on the GTS, in the future why not allow customers to choose other additional colors as well? Just a thought.

This was a bunch of baloney put out by some magazine. (If somebody printed it in a magazine, it must be true---right?) You are under estimating SRT marketing. I spoke with Graham at Mid Ohio last year and he said they were expecting the vast majority of the orders to be for the GTS. Even tried to talk me into ordering one...

The Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/SRT and what ever they call themselves this year, ordering system simply ***** in Canada.
I just ordered a 13 MY Wrangler for my wife last Friday, according to the salesman I can look close to the middle of July for delivery, That's if Jeep accepts the order for Billet Metallic, go figure something as mass produced as a wrangler... apparently skittle green must be in high demand :dunno:

I have my VOT # it was given to me on April 5th when I paid for the jeep. I tried to log on the site it just gives me errors.. when I inquired to Chrysler Canada to why I was getting errors on the site the rep said the VOTS site doesn't work for Canadians ***...
Hopefully Ralph will see this thread and hear the Canadian complaints so he can kick some Canadian Chrysler ass, they are really dropping the Ball up here across the complete brand.
If I'm expected to wait 4 months for a Wrangler Good Luck on Getting a Viper.. :lmao:

It appears to be the same colour as the wrangler! I went with Billet Metallic as our local Cab company chose Orange Crush to paint there Fleet of cabs :smirk:

We are putting the finishing touches on the 2014 TA model. Black cloth seats, Laguna Seca glory, et al. As a track day rat, I just love the car. But I can tell you, because I know many of you personally, that you (and more critically, your wives!) really want the GTS model, not a spartan TA. The GTS leather is so delicious, and smells sooooo good. We put all this Ferrari-esque leather into the car because you asked for it! Now that it's finally here, please do not be a ***** and go order a Viper with cloth seats (yes, we now offer cloth seats in a competition oriented Viper, another first), And, yes, I just called you a ***** if you order this. Sorry, I didn't really mean to call you guys morons...I love the cloth seats, but the Laguna leather just smells like sex on wheels....

Gents, the TA is the new glam boy, and holds the new Laguna Seca Track Record. But the production Viper GTS (driven the same day, same pro driver, Randy Pobst) is only 0.5 sec behind! That is still stupid fast!! Faster than an $400k Aventador, etc, etc. So, my advice, is that you think honestly about what you want in your American Supercar, and order it. My order would include Stryker Red and Sepia interior, and I'm a cheap SOB! But the Stryker colors are soooo good you can't believe them until you see them. They are seriously that good. When you see them in person, you will instantly understand my pointed opinon.

Heh, I like cloth seats. They don't bug my skin as much during prolonged trips.

I'm thinking the GTS with the carbon aero package may shave off a nice chunk of that 0.5 seconds, would you agree? The TA is a beast on the track, but I like to have my cake and eat it to. So the GTS is the one for me.

Hey Graham, thanks for participating on the forum. The Viper community is truly something unique, and fortunate to have access to SRT's top engineers and CEO. Hope you can make it to the ALMS race at Laguna Seca, and driver dinner the night before. With any luck, I'll have my Stryker Red out there, with Maurice and the guys. It's going to be down to the wire though, as ship date is estimated May 1. Okay, make that lots of luck, LOL

Aero balance question.

I've noriced that the TA uses the six (6) vent hood with belly pan, front aero and taller spoiler. Does putting the aero package i.e. the track pack, on the GTS still maintain the aero balance? Does the track pack use the belly pan?

Track Pack is currently only Sidewinder II rims, Pirelli Corsas, and Stoptech rotors. The Aero Package is the front splitter and the rear ducktail spoiler. The Aero was used on both cars in the wind tunnel and creates equal downforce, and discussing the 2014 Track Pack is just conjecture at present, as there may be some evolutionary changes -- obviously the TA has the electronic shocks and if that is incorporated into the future Track Packs, that is a major change. Keep in mind the GTS already has the dual adjustable electronic suspension , so one future question may be if a track pack is ordered will this system be recalibrated. Common sense can give us some answers, but keep in mind the ever evolving mind of SRT and their ability to adapt at Warp Speed!!
