Well, I sold my Vette today, so I might pull the plug on a new exhaust system for my GTS. I would want complete---headers all the way out the back. I would still want to run cats. What brand would ya'll recommend and where would be the best place to get the parts. I can do the install. I like loud, but would still like to be able to carry on a conversation in the car. LOL Thanks, Art

I like the complete Belanger setup. Not too loud and not too quiet. Just right!

I have bellanger headers, high flo cats and corsa catback. Love it. Sounds mean and still can talk in the car. All the sound is behind you.

High Flow cats are a must if you want a nice sound....the stock cats are way too restrictive. Magnaflow cats have the best flow.

The Viper stock exhaust *****.. I don't know how you guys can stand the silence on such a menacing beast. Like the above poster said, at least get high flow cats. They cool your sills down and give the car some attitude. As for a complete system, I have Belanger front-to-back and love it.

Ordered a complete Belanger system from Will @ RSI yesterday. As soon as it hits, I'll be taking the car in for install and tune.

Indy,
do you have any figures confirming your statement? I have those installed but basically picked these because they were easy to get (for me) and for little money (I have #59959, spun 3" version, non ODBII). Initially, I was worried about the ODBII non compliance (actually, a Magnaflow tech confirmed that these will not work properly on my '98 RT/10 and will throw codes. However, this did not happen up to now). I do notice some smell of fuel when the cats are cold but once they have heated up, this goes away.

Post a vid before and after. You won't be able to sneak out of the house anymore:D

Don't know how to post a vid or even take one for that matter. I'm single, so don't have to sneak out anyway. My Vette was a 425HP 383 stroker with 3" dual straight pipes, so I'm used to loud!:D

Congrat's on the sale of your vette (was a beautiful car); I agree w/ Bellanger. The sound is GREAT!!! I have the cat back system on my 95 RT/10 w/ random tech high flow cats & love it; will hopefully soon be ordering the headers as well.

I wish it was on the car already! I'm driving it up to Illinois again for my granddaughter's birthday next week, and it would be nice to have it on there. Oh well, I'll get it soon after I get back home.

Maybe I should rephrase my statement  Can't confirm if they're the best, but they're probably the best bang for the buck.
Very good flow with only 200 cells and metallic substrate. I mean, they're tiny in comparison to the stock cats! I suppose you could go even smaller with race cats and less cells, but they're more for show than anything else. Not even sure if the magnaflows will pass an emission test...
