Raging Rapids May 5th

Apparently the raging rapids are all the rage! I took a ride by there and they have decided to reconstruct the entrance and parking lot, the ranger station has been torn down, steam rollers are blocking the entrance and exit. So no go on the raging rapids in Kent for now.
I have two other ideas: 1. we can meet up and and go to 1st and Ten for lunch, or 2. we can meet up and go to Riverview BBQ for lunch. Any feedback or new ideas? If we get a list going for either idea, then we will do that one instead.

That's too bad! I vote for 1st & Ten...he's a Viper guy and willing to block out spaces for us to park in...always a good thing.

Pretty sure I'm in wth my son...just have to check baseball team schedule.

Thanks for setting up...great weather to look forward to.

Why don't we go bother the Corvette club THEN meet up for lunch? Like we used to do with keith back in the day. :D 1st and 10 or BBQ, either is good. Both have decent food and great scenery. ;)

Trying to get a sense of who is going. If not enough interest, I guess it won't happen. My son has a baseball game at 2pm, would like to join you guys if not too far...1st & Ten works for me, other locations do not. If it doesn't happen, we'll be at the next one at the drive in.

That's to bad about Kent Falls, I was looking forward to the new Barrel ride! It's not as much free fall time as Niagara Falls but the survival rate is better then 50%! :omg:



I like 1st & 10th but were ever you guys choose, count me in!! :D

They also have the new "Log" ride, but I heard the ride is kind of stiff. When guys ride it they get a -----. When you get to the ride, you have to "Log in". Just what I've heard anyway. Wow this thread is rapidly going off course.

Do you have an estimate of time....meeting time, lunchtime? I am trying to figure if I can get this in before my son's baseball game...any information would be a great help!

It's at 2pm...I can always leave early....but now, I might come by myself for this one and bring kids for the next few.

A potential new NY/CT member is joining the cruise tomorrow. He goes by Helo Steve here. He sent me this information about possible delays on rt 34/25 which may be helpful tomorrow:

I got word that Rt 34, Wasserman way and Rt 25 will be closed for a big motorcycle ride around that time. If you know anyone that's coming from the south, they might get delayed. I'm going to take Rt 8 north to 84 and come back across to avoid as much as I can and will be on time.

Had a great time on this first event of the year (at least for me attending). Thanks to Jimmy and Juliana for setting up, it was great seeing all of you and meeting two new members Steve and Paul (Paul "newish" member).
