I got my Gen 5 wheels put on yesterday before the snow came today.:crazy2:
I went with the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires - 285/35ZR18's in front and 345/30ZR/19's in rear.
Can't wait for the weather to clear back up so I can try'em out. :D I will be selling my Gen 4 polished 5 spokes w/ PS2's I took off.

I was wondering if the Gen V wheels would fit. I heard the front was an issue because of the new offset. Car looks good!

Greg, as usual your car looks fantastic. These rims were take-offs from an LE.

Yes, the fronts have a different offset, mostly all to the "outside". The fronts are 10 1/2" wide, that's why I went with the 285's vs the 275's. I have only put about 2 miles on them, but so far no rubbing.

Why do the newer wheels (even the 10 spokes) look so much better on gen II cars than they do on the cars they come on from the factory?
It seems that every gen II car that has this mod just looks spectacular.
Wheels, regardless of what they are, don't seem to have that wow factor on the later cars.
What is so magical about the gen II?:dunno:

Looks great! Really matches the lines of the car well.

Thanks. The Gen 5's are really close looking to the Gen 4's I took off. The Gen 5 wheels have more of a softer "dish" on the spokes that goes well with the curves of the Gen 2 cars.

I couldn't agree more. I actually prefer Gen 3/4/5 rims on Gen 1/2's over anything that the aftermarket has provided.

Car looks awesome, great color too... :)

I think the gen 5s look great, but not enough of a difference from the ones you had before to justify the cost IMO. Most folks wouldn't be able to tell, I'd probably miss it and I'm a wheel guy.
