Why does the base model (SRT) have more vents then the top model (GTS)? Explain... :dunno:

According to Mr. G, the SRT hood is slightly better at heat extraction/down force. Just slightly.

Seeing the GTS in person, the GTS vents are very shallow, much more shallow than I would have expected. The GTS-R vents are MUCH deeper.:2tu:

Synergy I completely understand where your coming from. I think this was stupid for SRT to do. The original SRT model hood that they had designed kind of resembled the Gen 3 hood were it had those slits. That hood would be much for suitable for the SRT model because it differentiates the two more and the GTS hood would clearly look like the higher model. Why they would have the base model have an arguably better looking hood then the higher end model is beyond me.

I agree. Think the GTS should have more vents as well. Doesn't make sense, or at least have the option of the SRT hood on the GTS.

I am told the GTS will have a choice of either hood next year. The original preliminary specs called it out that way for 2013, but something happened....

IMHO the 08 hood is an awesome style upgrade. Gen V not so much, GTS 2 vent hood has "the look" Not sure why.
What say you?
