Garage parking lift

Need some advise and opinions on residential parking lifts. I have been thinking about a garage lift for quite a while and I'm ready to go forward but don't know what's the most practical. I'm like most car guys who have a 2 car garage but own 3 cars and need more space. I own a Corvette and a Viper plus my everyday driver and they need to be kept out of the elements. Anyone out there who has a parking lift, need your input.

Thanks

There is a place near me that I think sells a great lift. I have one from them and am very happy with it. There are located in Pontiac, MI on Walton Blvd. Name of the company/lift is Aresco. I don't have their number with me but here is a link http://www.aresco.org/. Don't know if they deliver and set up in your area. Good luck.

Check Craigslist.org for deals in your area. Always a garage going out of business trying to unload equipment.

I also have two 4-post lifts from Greg Smith Equipment and am very happy (owned both about 7 years). I installed both myself with no problems. Took about 2-3 hours each. I don't raise/lower the lift that often so I don't put a lot of load on them but overall not a single problem.

Greg Smith x2.

My lift will be coming from them - their Atlas model starts at
$1995 and I've seen them under many a Viper...

I have the Eagle lift. I have used it for ten years. I would guess that it has lifted the viper close to 1000 times in that period. I keep my wife's Solstice under the viper. I did the installation myself, it probably took about 6-8 hours. You don't have to fasten it down, but, I thought it best if it was secured. There are four fasteners per corner. The cost was approx 3K and that was ten years ago, however, it looks like the prices have dropped.

My garage has ten ft ceilings, however, you probably can store two vipers with a 9'6" celing.

Not sure if these guys go that far but I have been happy with my eagle.http://forums.viperclub.org/threads...-look-at-Eagle-Equipment?highlight=lift+eagle

First of all is your ceiling in your garage high enough? You should have at least 9 ft. for your viper and corvette. 10 ft is much better. I have an 8.5 ft. ceiling but garage is 26 ft. deep so I can put a Viper on top and one under to the windsheild and still have lots of room around behind. Same with Prowler, but convertible Road Runner gets backed in with the top down.

I have 13 ft. All I did was raise my collar ties 1/3 of the way down from the top of the roof. Still to code here is Mass...

I could not find anyone to install or even drop off in Nashville area for any reasonable price!
Search "Titan Lift Install thread" 2 months back for details. Had it shipped from Indy to Nashvile Picked it up at Fed Ex with a car trailer and installed myself for just under 2K comes with casters, drips trays and jack tray Included. I absolutely love it.
Good Luck!

What is the height of your garage? Mine is 9 foot 6 inches, and it would be cutting it close with my viper and charger underneath. Yours looks like you could part an SUV under that

12' even on the ceiling. Yes a tall SUV. I like that it disappears around the door. 9' 6' would do 2 Vipers. The Charger may not fit. You need to add the 2 cars plus 4" for the runways and 4 or 5 inches to ratchet up over the stops that the runways rests on.
