Other than the Viper, what exotic car holds it's value well?

I would venture to say that the lowest values have already occurred and the prices are already increasing slightly. I'd say prices have increased an average of 3k from the prices from 2009-2012.

It's unfair to compare the values of high mileage NSX to a high mileage Viper. The viper market is full of very low mileage cars, which makes the high mileage cars less desirable--this isn't true for the NSX.

A fair comparison would be between a low mileage NSX to a low mileage viper, the price difference isn't much--especially when you consider that the NSX sold for more then $10k more than a GTS back in 96 (nearly $20k more than a RT).

The viper is certainly SEMI EXOTIC, as low production numbers would suggest. I have always felt the Viper lost some "exoticness" when they started dropping the V-10 in pickup trucks as the engine was no longer exclusive.

The difference is that an NSX is a Honda, with everything that implies. 100K miles is nothing on an NSX. As long as you replace the timing belt at the recommended intervals, they are arguably the most reliable "exotic" cars ever built.

I think you meant to type 38k not 27.5. You're not picking up a clean low mileage GTS for under 30. I know corvettes don't go over too well here but to all the guys saying vipers don't hold their value too well, they've faired better than comparably priced c5 z06s.

Nope not a typo $27,500 for 39,000ks/25,000miles it was a Canadian car in kilometers. It was in the autotrader up here. There now is a RT10 with 15,000 miles asking $30,000 and he will be lower after you beat him down.

Ya that 98 GTS that was going for 27K was a scam!
I called 50 thousand times and two other buddies were trying to get a hold of this "So called" Viper it was called something like Fashion Finance.. and everytime the chick answered she said.. "Oh he's not here now. He'll be back later.

Half of all the other cars listed are either in some sort of accident or have a story,

I'm looking at one tomorrow in the GTA a Red and White GTS 1998.. But its not 27K More like 39K.

Agreed. Viper is not really an exotic so to speak. Its more of a low production muscle car. I agree with you though it was a mistake to try and cash in and make a Viper truck. In my mind definitely took away some of the prestige of the car.

Were TVR's ever imported to the States? I didn't know until recently that the new Pagani is the first to be US legal. Sometimes it ***** watching Top Gear and seeing all the fun cars that I'll never be able to have (both for financial and import reasons).

Since the iron V-10 our engine is based on was originally designed to be a truck motor, it was a logical step to put the aluminum motor in the trucks, great marketing too. What I really get a kick out of is the guys with $50K SRT Rams lusting after my $30K Viper :lmao: The rest of the world doesn't realize how cheaply our Gen Is and IIs can be had these days.
