Has anybody called SRT recently to see if they know anything? They've damn near reached the limit of my patience with this.

LOL They totally flagged Vipers on VOTS and directed us to SRT phone lines....pleasant folks whom really seem to want to help but they can't...they are customer service reps trained to deal with generic responses to be provided to the masses...not something u want to hear when ordering a hand build exotic super car.....I got a private tweet from the CEO saying that the plant has been set back by parts shortages....came close to cancelling my order but still hanging in there since I've come this far...frustrating & requires lots of patience. On the plus side I hear its worth the wait.:eater:

Just talked to my dealer today... his rep talked to distribution yesterday and was told that all Canadian orders were pushed back, no answer as to how long. Trying to hang in there like the rest of you... If I don't have it by mid July I'm pulling the plug. Rolling out as a MY14 would keep me limping along I suppose.

I am way too impatient! I'd be going mad at this point with more delays.

Car went to frame status this morning!

Yes!!! Just when you were at your rope's end, and me right there with you. This gives me hope. What a relief!

I've got a couple guys talking with SRT, but the silence is deafening. No word on mine.

How did you find out? VOTS? It still shows Productioned Scheduled when I open my bookmarked link. But if I type my name and VIN, it says to contact them. Not sure if the bookmarked link is really checking status.

Congrats, light at the end of the tunnel!

Well, not so much hope. I called 855-SRT-TEAM and their system still shows my car as production scheduled. She said not to trust what's in VOTS and that they turned it off for the Vipers because it's not at all accurate. The people there are awesome, BTW. The lady I spoke with has been watching my case and recognized my VIN right off the bat - she had just checked the car's status this morning. They have truly been a bright spot in this process.

And, yes, I used the bookmarked link to get into VOTS. That still gets me to the status screen. If I go to the login page first then I get the pop up you mentioned telling me to call SRT for status.

I am at my rope's end with this and have already set a deadline date by which the car must be started for me to not cancel the order.

Sure they will. GM pumps out 30,000 corvettes per year. Mass produced junk. Over done with electronic ground problems and lose 50% value in 20 months. Garbage. Z06 and ZR1 are different though.

Think of delivery this way: you're guaranteed to have it within 6 months because within that time the year will no longer exist

Think you have a problem now with SRTs excuses, wait til some of the Gen 5s start breaking down or get in accidents and you need parts. Need a lot of patience buying one of these cars and taking a big chance in the future. Yes, Corvettes are mass produced, but no issues like SRT is putting their customers thru now. Parts not issue with Corvettes.

Just the facts as it is...

Decent point. Not enough parts to even build the cars, there definitely aren't enough to repair them.

Had this issue with an IS350 I had. Slid off the road in an ice storm. New model, they couldn't repair it for a month because there simply were no new spare parts.

Good perspective. I'll wait until the end of the month, and if its not started as promised by then, time to wig out! LOL

No problem, they'll just give us loaner Vipers, like Mercedes does ;)

I've walked to the end of the ship's plank, staring down at the water. Looks kind of nice from here. I think if my car has not started by end of June as promised, I'm going to call it quits and jump ship. I'm noticing lots of Vipers on dealer lots, some now being offered at deep discounts. They made way too many LEs and Adrenaline Red track packs and dealer demos, they are just sitting there. The market is saturated with those colors. If they had instead made the custom order cars that we ordered back in NOVEMBER, they wouldn't have this problem. And neither would we.

Which is the hilarious part about dealers with markups.

No one really knows the Viper is back. The average person walking into a Dodge dealer - can't afford a Viper - because they are shopping for cars that cost 1/5 of the Viper.

There simply isn't the foot traffic into Dodge dealers to warrant the pricing schemes dealers are coming up with.

I think there will be a lot of '13s on lots by years end. Which, is sad, because those that ordered were sitting twiddling their thumbs.

There are soooo many dealers selling at or below MSRP at this point, just ignore mark up if you see it. Last night, I came across a blue GTS for $10K below MSRP, a red track pack for $99K, and a few others for $4K below MSRP. These are advertised prices, so deals are out there. 2014s will begin production in July, these dealers know they need to move the 2013s

Oh yes, I stopped by a local dealer with a $50k ADM, I berated them for listing it @ MSRP on their site. "Would you buy it at MSRP?????" was their response.

No, I wouldn't!

This. I decided on the same deadline at the end of last month. If they haven't ACTUALLY started building my car by the end of June I'm going to cancel the order.
