air bag light on, no turn signals, no A/C, no blower position.

Dan, maybe you or one of the other site vendors could have O2s built with wires that could withstand the heat. That would be awesome. I wonder if it is possible. Are there wires that could stand up to the heat?

"Garron" in is Toronto area as I recall...send him a PM.

I will shoot him a PM. THanks.

The dealer cleared the codes, I now have no codes even after about 300 Km of driving today.
But the problem still remain the same. I ordered a new Body Control Module and a New ECU off of ebay. Picking up a new alternator tomorrow.
here's another video.

Your problem is not your BCM or your PCM... and you cannot just "swap" those parts on a Gen-4, only a dealer can... and they still cannot do it correctly, as once they are flashed for a certain vehicle, they CANNOT be reflashed again for another. They will "work", but only for testing. All VINs and mileages will be wrong.

Your problem is likely related to the gateway module or a bus connection on that datastream.

For what it is worth, contact someone who knows what they are doing, and do exactly what they tell you. Stop guessing and wasting time and money, you are dealing with a very complicated problem, and its not one that darts at a dart-board will solve.

If, I am not able to find someone in Ontario, would you be able to help me out? You are about 5 hours away from my location. Chuck Tator had replied my pm, but he is 11 hours away.

I had a very similiar issue with my Jeep wrangler. every once in a while the airbag light would come on and the blower would not work on any setting. I heard to check the fuses for oxidation , check the grounds, relays etc. it started to happen more and more frequently. checking some forums I saw someone had a similiar issue and it ended up being the Ignition switch.

After perusing the schematics that solution really didn't make sense as the circuits seemed completely separate. I exhausted all other avenues so I figured what the hell. I pulled the ignition switch out, cleaned the connectors (even though they looked clean) and the problem disappeared for about 2 weeks. I then replaced the switch and have been trouble free for over a year. Something to think about.

Yes we could if you need the help, though it would probably be more economical to help someone closer to you sort it.

I agree with Dan on this one, please take it to a shop that knows how to work on vipers. You may be giving yourself someone else’s problems by installing used BCM's and PCM's from ebay

She's in the 2nd Chrysler shop with two certified viper techs. 2nd trip to them this Monday. They changed some ignition wiring harness which it worked for about 10 minutes. Now, they want to change the switch. We will see what happens.. If not, she is coming towards your way Garron.

Ugh... you are falling into the same trap just indirectly this time.

Just because a shop has "Viper Techs" does not mean they have ANY idea what they are doing. Most techs are nothing more than parts changers- and that goes for "Viper Techs" as well. They don't have any idea what they are actually trying to solve at a technical level, and just change things until they get lucky, butchering the systems they touch as they rampage from one end of the vehicle to the other. I know first hand... since many of these disasters end up here sooner or later to be sorted out. We are not parts changers. We are engineers that work on these systems 24/7 as we develop parts and packages for these cars, and we know how they actually function.

If you want this solved, have these jokers call me before they butcher your car any more.

All that said, when it comes to recently purchased cars at "steal" prices with oddball problems like this, get that car inspected by a professional FAST. That s a perfect storm of a "stories" car with some kind of buried history.

Thanks for all of the support guys. I have sold the cr@ppy Viper and bought and ford tempo. NOT! Garron gave some great things to try and it worked. It is so nice to have the A/C, signals, defrosters and vents working again. It was the C100 and C101 connector by the clutch. The pin just had to be secured better. Also that bracket get darn hot. So I put some insulation material around and over it to keep the wires from touching it. Thanks again Everyone.!

Glad to hear you got it figured out. I told ya on the other site it was probably a loose connector of some type... bingo.

VERY odd though that those two connectors were disconnected/loose. I would still advise having a professional who knows the Viper very well take a look through the car for signs that it has been tampered with for one reason or another.
