A couple Maryland Viper owners and myself are looking for a reputable auto detail shop in the Maryland area (We are in Annapolis,MD). We would really appreaciate any good leads. Taking them to a local auto detail shop is very scary not knowing if they will do a good job or not.

Thanks for you help!

This guy is supposed to the the sh*t in our area. I've never used him, but heard he is great. He is not cheap. I think he quoted me a grand for paint correction and I politely declined. Now in his defense, he apparently spends 16-18 hours on it, but I decided my paint wasn't REALLY all that bad.

Why not do it yourself.... I do and comes out better than most "pro" work I've seen.

I certainly don't want to spend $1000 to clean it. I also think spending $200 is worth the hassle of sitting out in the garage for several hours while my arms go numb and fingers smell like wax the rest of the evening. The Diamond detail place has good rates which are typical of local auto detailing. We may give them a shot unless I can find something else.

$200 is a very cheap detail.... If done right and not with just fillers that wash out. I've learned the hard way in the past and do it myself because of reading from this forum (Junkman's lessons) and also attending workshops. It's more than $200 for a real detail, more like $800-$1,200 for something that is lasting and worth it.

Yup, I agree completely Mark.

A $200 detail is just gonna get you a lot of glaze and fillers that look great when you pick it up, and terrible after a few washs/wipe downs.
