:crazy2::crazy2::crazy2:I was 6'3" 268lbs when I first bought my viper. Since then I have been so extatic about owning a Viper that I cannot stop eating. I've grown so attatched to my car that all I do is eat,,,,,,,,,,,, now im up to 348 and there is no way I can even consider getting into the Viper (without breaking stuff) or fearing getting stuck inside. I eat healthy just too much, and now with the Hostess Twinkee return I fear too much pressure. Anyone else have these type of disorders, my wife says sell the car but that only makes me crave a garbage-pie. Seriously Please Advise! Thanks!

Well,...............you need to start tracking the car.
That way, you'll be spending so much on tires and brakes, you won't be able to afford to eat so much.
Also, you won't even care about other stuff (like food) as the track habit will be so consuming that nothing else will matter.

I have managed to keep a slim physique with this activity. -not because I diet, exercise, or eat healthy. It's cuz I don't have any money for food after supporting a track Viper.

Wow...three and a half bills...reminds me of a thread over on the Alley where this guy was having health issues and was going to see the doctor again in a week or so...well, he didn't make it to the appointment. That kind of weight can cause a lot of health issues. Good luck with the ******* cravings...I love me some twinkies.

You need to start exercising and cut down on calories pronto, coming from a female semi pro bodybuilder/trainer.

Yes, I also am 6'2'' and 290. BUT I fit perfect in the Gen2. You said you were 265 when you got the Viper . I recommend you lose ONLY the 40 pounds that you need to get into the car. If you can get down to 290 than you will fit, no problem. Keep the rest of the weight on....who cares..... a fat man is a happy man.

If you are serious about getting back in the car by the end of the summer look into Paleo... I don't know anyone it hasn't worked for and now are much healthier! Blah blah I know, diets... Haha

Screw the car, lose the weight for yourself and family. I would suggest seeking professional help via a dietitian/trainer.

Thanks All for the caring/advise I appreciate it. Sometimes we must look at ourselves and try to figure out how to improve, I've been to Doctors several times and I know the score, Its up to me to make a change. Id love to drive the Viper again and feel determined to give the weight loss game another try. You're the best!!

Personally I find swimming to be the most relaxing workout - and tiring.

I love it the most because it lets me get out of my head

If it is in your budget - go talk to a dietician - find someone who can help you pick out meals made with foods you'd enjoy. Diets are scams because you fall back into old habits. Find foods you like you can enjoy and set yourself up for success.

Heard on the radio this a.m., the new ******* is going to be smaller (10%), due to manufacturing cost. what does this mean to you, you ask?
135 calories, instead of 150 . Will probably cost more too

but seriously, if you are being serious, make some lifestyle changes. the basics, diet, exercise, got kids too? think about them.

That's gastric bypass territory. If you let yourself go from an already overweight 268 to a whopping 348... it's difficult to believe you could muster up the will power to drop back down. Get control of your mind first and it can happen. I wish you the best of decisions and health.

ask your wife what she wants to do with it because at the rate you are going you won't be around to enjoy it. not trying to be a ****. don't go to a dietician go to a psychologist. there is something deep down that is making you eat like this. find out what the real problem is.

I truly thank you all for the support. It must be motivating me already because today I feel I can really do something positive to shed some of the excess lbs. I know I have a long way to go but I went out to the garage earlier sat next to the GTS and had a soulful cry. So far today, I've only eaten fruit and salad, (maybe it's too hot to want real food). Anyway, without feeling too sorry for myself I know about addiction and I did this to myself and hopefully I can make the right decisions to help me get back behind the wheel. Please, take care of yourselves!

Johnny Take a look at this site www.bulletproofexec.com It really breaks down the truth about food and what your body needs. I'm not fat at all and went on his diet for a month and man what a difference. You body feels amazing without any exercise just because you body is getting truely what it needs. Also a quick tip for losing the weight. STAIR MACHINE hands down the best piece of equipment for burning calories. Get your heart to 130 bpm for 30 mins a day with that diet and the pounds will roll off of you. Hope this helps, and it is very very simple.

Start by going around your own block once. Do that every day for a month( rain or shine, night or day, hot or cold).
Then add another lap and do it every day for a month etc.
It will work.
I promise.

Lost 16lbs in 2 weeks from those Insanity videos.... I've done the P90X in the past as well.... They will help drop weight fast but you have to be some what healthy to do them.

Well, it just comes down to a very personal decision to just do it. Sounds like you have not hit rock bottom yet or you would have the "I am through with how I feel and am making a change no matter what" attitude. It is hard, I know and you have many others here that know as well. I can tell you it is not easy or everyone would be in shape. Myself I am 5' 8" and am currently at 210 lbs. When I was younger and played semi-pro hockey, I was 175lbs and solid muscle. at 39 now, I am not anymore. So realistically I am 35 lbs to 40 lbs overweight from where I should be. Just haven't felt like getting back in shape yet but pretty close to that point of doing it. Health issues of last couple of years wiped me out and though I am not obese despite being an obese individual character on the Nintendo Wii (Ha! Ha!) I have obese health issues presently. Getting in shape is a very personal journey. At your weight, I would suggest diet and just stretching and walking. To support 350 lbs, you have to eat a ton. Cut back to just drinking ONLY water and eat healthy and often. Eat 6 times a day but really watch what you eat and always pair a protein with carbs and vegetables. Closed fist size for protein, closed fist size for carb and eat as many vegetables as you want. Remember that breads, etc. are carbs too. Dairy is optional as many are lactose intolerant. Make sure to take a multi-vitamin and that is it for diet. As far as exercise, just focus initially on walking and just simple stretches. Walking in a slow and power walking form is a great way to lose weight when starting at a very heavy weight. Try to walk in the morning and at night, work up to around 5 miles a day. You will be amazed at just how much better you feel and how motivated you will be. Forget the scale. Just make the changes, commit, no matter what is going on in your life and in 1 month, step on the scale. I guarantee if that doesn't motivate you then you need to check your pulse, because you are probably dead and sitting on the toilet already. Good luck and best wishes.

I don't know whether to take this thread seriously or not. If your main motivation for not being 350lbs is fitting into your car.....it doesn't sound like you have enough motivation to pull it off. If family, quality of life, etc isn't enough to do it for you, a viper won't be either. Exercise and cut each of your normal portions down by 1/4, problem solved.

Also, you will get faster times in the 1/4 by weight reduction.
