I posted this on the alley as well, just wanted you all to be aware.
How do you explain this one and be taken seriously?? This actually happened yesterday, but I wanted to share my experience with you all. Probably never going to happen to anyone, just my luck.
Yesterday morning I was coming home from work and decided that I needed to fertilize the lawn. I get my little scotts seeder/fertilzer out and start going to town. That took me a whole 5 minutes to do so I proceeded to put everything away. As I was walking in the garage I noticed some smoke coming from underneath the car, I kind of came to a panic state and tried to quickly find out what was going on. I realized my bumper was smoking, the panel was hot as hell, first thing that came to thought was the battery. I never moved so fast in my life, trying to figure out what to do. I hurried up and grabbed my tools to pull the wheel off. I kept looking over and trying to blow out the smoke and then it finally I questioned myself, is it the wheels? Are they acting like a magnifying glass and burning the paint??
It was the wheels, the damn wheels LOL! I could hardly believe what just happened. I stored my wheels like this for almost an entire year and this didn't happen. Long story short, don't store your wheels like this and learn from my mistake. Now I have to take to my bumper off to get it repainted. Good thing is it didn't warp anything just burned the paint like some marshmallows over a camp fire. Definitely not going to buff out....
