Now that I have a good upholstery shop working on my interior and my stereo & LEDs are done, I am looking to replace the dash, gauge bezel and shifter bezel of my SRT with either real carbon fiber parts or overlays. I am assuming solid CF parts will cost much more, but I am still surprised at how much the overlays cost. I am even more surprised by the fact that there does not seem to be a single vendor in this department of work that does not have some sort of negative stigma attached to them.
I also assume that although the gauge bezel and shifter bezel won't be too big of a deal to fabricate for a pro, the dash might pose a challenge. I want to have all three pieces done at once so that everything matches nicely and the finish and alignment are consistent. I would prefer to do this little project with an overlay, but vendor reliability and TRUE product value is what I am looking for (I am not trying to spend 1.5k on a wrap for these three parts, not including giving up my cores when I could have real carbon fiber pieces for 3k and sell my cores to offset cost)
Are there any legitimate vendors out there that can actually deliver? Can anyone point me in the right direction?
