nittos are great fresh, after a while they are slick to the road- have to ditch them way before the tread is gone.

Toyo is the parent company for Nitto.

Nitto is primarily a high performance brand/division of Toyo.

Like Michelin / BF Goodrich / Uniroyal.
And Goodyear / Dunlop / Kelly.

..............I think the Nitto stuff is killer! -by the way.

As a tire dealer, we sell all that stuff.
The Toyo branded tires seem to have a little harder rubber compound than the Nitto versions.

I was considering the NITTO NT05's for my Gen IV. Any thoughts?

Had NT05 tires on mine last go'round. These were very good tires, but 4 twenty minute heats on a road course track but these to their end. The huge heat cycles ruined the tires for further tracking. I have the Michelin Super Sports now and have next set of MSS in the garage already. I think overall the MSS is a better tire than the NT05. Not a huge price differential from VCA either. Buy those, you will be happy you did.

You look like a track guy.
Why not Hoosier R6's?

Sport Cups?

If you're street driving mostly, best bet would be the Invos or the Super Sports.

I wouldn't even consider the NT05 because of the 335 rear.

Nitto is a great tire for the price. I have PS2s going on right now because I like the run-flat option personally just in case I run over something sharp by accident.
